The Shockwave Technologies Raptor Grip is MADE IN AMERICA. With its enhanced texture, you gain a great hold on your weapon. And its glass-filled polymer construction is virtually indestructible. This is a new style of bird’s head grip (aka birdshead grip aka witness protection grip aka chicken head grip aka border patrol grip aka entry-style grip aka bad ass grip) developed and manufactured by Shockwave Technologies, LLC in the U.S.A. The Raptor Grip is molded of a super-tough glass-filled polymer and fits: Remington 870 12-gauge firearms New England Firearms (NEF) Pardner Pump Protector 12-gauge Harrington & Richardson (H&R) Pardner Pump Protector 12-gauge Interstate Arms Corp (IAC) Hawk Model 98 12-gauge Interstate Arms Corp (IAC) Hawk Model 982 12-gauge Interstate Arms Corp (IAC) Hawk Model 981R 12-gauge Unique angle of the Raptor Grip minimizes felt recoil, allowing maximum control shot after shot. It also just looks badass. Order yours today. Yes, mounting hardware is included. (Requires a 3/16″ hex wrench for installation.) Firearm shown is not included, however. ;) The grip itself adds 5.5″ to the length of the weapon (measured parallel to the bore). Note that there is no predefined hole for a sling swivel stud on the Raptor Grip. This allows you to put your sling swivel wherever you want it on the grip—not just where we think it should go. Just drill a 1/8″ pilot hole, and thread in your sling swivel stud.

Significantly reduced felt recoil compared to other grips
This grip is excellent for those who want a shorter package when it comes to their 12 gauge but dislike the feeling of more conventional grips. Though as a primer, i will say here that any pistol grip requires both practice and aptitude of proper shooting stance as well as recoil management. I would not recomend this for people who are either recoil shy, or inexperienced with Pistol Grip Only (henceforth acronymed as PGO) shotguns. improper holding (IE, holding your firearm above your chin and/or less than a few inches away) will result in a 30 dollar tooth extraction for any and all who don't heed this warning. Now as to elaborate on my thoughts on the product. I wholeheartedly support this. PGO shotguns are among my favorite firearms to own and use, so i've gotten acquainted with several kinds. Most are fairly harsh when it comes to energy transfer into your wrists. But after taking this to the range it is significantly softer shooting than other grips i own. Even my Hogue tamer which up until trying this product was my gold standard for pistol grips. For anyone who owns a Stevens 320 and wants to use one of these, This will work with modification. Although the 320 is mostly a clone of the Winchester 1300, curiously, it doesn't use the v shaped cut the winchester does. It does however use a very similiar mount as the Remington 870. Though it will require you to be a little handy with either sand paper and a file, or skill with a dremel. (which is what i used) You will also need to use a different mounting bolt than what this stock comes with, as the one provided is of a smaller diameter than what is needed. I used the bolt the original stock came with. A couple nuts to fill some space was needed in my case.

*Installation Instructions in review!* Great substitution for your home defense shotgun.
I wasn't a fan of the factory Remington 870 Tac Express butt stock, simply because it made it too bulky for home defense. Now, I can easily conceal my shotgun in my bedroom and, God forbid, if I ever have to use it for its purpose, I'm not carrying around a shotgun that's going to be banging on doors and making turning corners awkward. It is much more practical now.On top of that, this thing is incredibly easy to install and uninstall. That being said, I can easily put my stock back on for sport shooting or hunting. I mean it really takes all of five minutes to switch them. One thing worth mentioning is that this does NOT come with instructions. So I'm going to write some quick and easy instructions for removing the Remington 870 Express butt stock and installing this guy:1) There are two screws at the base of the stock butt stock. Place a phillips head screwdriver in the holes, seated in the rubber. A flashlight will allow you to see that screws.2) Once the screws are removed, you simply pull that rubber pad off.3) With a flashlight, look inside and you'll see the buffer rod with a flat head screw. Use a bigger flat head screwdriver and remove it. It takes a couple of minutes with lots of turning (unless you use a drill like me).4) Pull the rod out and then simply remove the buttstock by pulling it off. Reassemble the buttstock so no pieces go missing.5) Take your new Shockwave nub and remove the plastic piece in the rear with a screwdriver or a coin. You'll see a hex screw. Grab a T-27 torx bit and place the new buttstock exactly where the old one was seated. It's easy to line it up and put it in place.6) With a T-27 equipped hex driver, start rotating the rod to the right until you see the buttstock lining up and feel the hex screw tightening. Tighten it just hand tight as to not damage the rod or trigger assembly.7) Replace the rear plastic cap and voila. Enjoy your new nub buttstock.

it fit perfect on my H&R pardner.

buy it . easier to use than the usual shotgun pistol grip !
The 870 model fits the h&r pardner pump also .. and this has to be the best 12 ga pistol grip I've ever used easy on the wrists and palm .. you'll never go back to the old "saw handle" style grip again. The only add on I suggest is some baseball bat grip tape from the sporting goods aisle ..if you think you will be shooting with sweaty hands..

Looks and feels awesome.
I put this grip on an H&R Pardner Pump 12 and I love it. I purchased the shotgun for a home defense weapon and to just get out a bust off some rounds and this grip fits for me. If you like a pistol grip go for it, but the Raptor grip is a lot more forgiving on the wrists. I would purchase this product again.
