This is a very useful device. And So many thing are offered it is almost impossible to seeall things it has. I only wish my dishnetwork would link my history account but that is the faultof Dishnetwork not Roku. I have contacted Roku and they have very good service in helping withproblems. I also wish you could do all the linking with just the Roku device itself instead of havingto go online to so many of the providers which can be cumbersome to do and often just give upon the channel that is hard to link to. I think it will only get better. I wish the CW channel and the AMCchannels would link to Roku but so far they do not. Over all I am very pleased with the Roku.

The Roku 3 is awesome, and I'm so glad we finally got away from DirecTV and their monthly price changing roulette games...awesome product, buy it. Just GET A NEW ONE, NOT A REFURB.From what I can tell (I bought two of these) a refurbished Roku 3 is a:- gently used Roku with some sharpie marks on the bottom with some cryptic code- two dead AA batteries that you have to immediately throw away (seriously, one set didn't even make it through the initial remote sync to the Roku, worthless)- a new power supply (probably the reason these are refurbished units)- a pair of cheap as $h!t purple headphones from the dollar store.The junk headphones are by far the biggest disappointment, especially since I have since seen local sales for NEW ROKU 3's at the same price point($79.99). The pictures on amazon are of decent quality headphones that have silicone ear tip and look like they are nice and comfortable. The ones you receive in the package are the '80's style that look like they should have the little foam covers on them, except these were most likely made in China for a nickle. The premo headphones that are supposed to come with the ROKU 3 probably cost them a dollar or two to make, so they decided to screw us and give us the crap ROKU 2 headphones.In the end its not a huge deal as we have 15 pairs of headphone laying around, its just more the principle of the matter.

I got the unit today. Batteries sent for remote dead. No HDMI cable included as advertised. Once I get player up and running per instructions, it just keeps rebooting. It took 3 tries to link it to my new Roku account because the darn thing would reset every time before it got activated. I thought I was home free on the linking on try 3, but then when I go to Netflix app to sign in to my account, it times out and reboots before I can even get my email account entered, and I type very fast! What a piece of s***. I tried linking to the chat help in ROKU's website which also keeps freezing then resetting me to the back of the line, 44 people always in front of me. SO looks like I'm sending this piece back to Amazon. I went in to settings too to see if I could lengthen the time it goes into reboot mode, I figured it might be a power saving feature of some kind. No, it appears it's just defective. This was advertised as a refurb which means someone already sent it back, so I guess that means their testing procedure is as defective as the device itself. What a waste of time and money. Hopefully Amazon reimburses.

I love my Roku 3 but I might think again before buying refurbished products from Otter Creek.1) The batteries given to me for the remote were dead and I know this because once I went to the store and purchased new AA's, it fired right up.2) The (free) HDMI cable that was given to me was not strong enough to run the 1080p content I was running though YouTube. Again, I know this because I went out and bought a new HDMI cable and the picture came right up. I was getting an error message before and I Googled the error message and all responses said get a new HDMI cable. They were right.3) The earbuds that came with the device were nothing like the ones pictured that are suppose to come with the Roku 3. I paid for a refurbished device, not second hand parts. The ones that came were not the squishy nice earbuds pictured, but hard cheap earbuds I can get anywhere.My rating would have been even lower if I hadn't purchased products from Otter Creek in the past. They are a good company but this experience just wasn't all that great.

Love Roku 3. All programming is streamed over the internet, and mostly on demand; you watch what you want when you want and can pause or stop or return and watch picking up where you left off. Great for busy homes where interruptions would have caused you to have missed part of the programming. There is ample programming to watch so that you can watch a lot of the current and past TV series, movies or listen to even radio programming. Just save the channels you want and then select them from your menu.Caution though as some of the advertised programming may require subscriptions, such as Amazon Prime, Hulu, Movie channels or others.Additonally, for Live broadcasts I highly RECOMMEND consideration of purchasing the "AmazonBasics Extreme Performance Ultra Thin Amplified Indoor HDTV Antenna - Designed and Assembled in USA by AmazonBasics". With this antenna we get more channels locally than with either the DirectTV or Roadrunner packages for local programming!!!Dump your Roadrunner, DirectTV, pay-per-view - it is for the most part re-runs anyway.02-22-2014 Update: Wife loves, son loves it, family and friends have ordered three after seeing a demonstration this past week, and I placed another order for one more Roku 3 as a gift.
