Clarks Men's Wader Pure

I'm 6' tall and weigh 220lbs. I walk 2 miles each way to work in my size 13 New Balance Minimus and work 10 - 15+ hours a day, on my feet, in the restaurant business. On weekends, I wear my Rainbow flip flops.I have flat feet and my toes look like they all hate each other.I like to wear the non-overpriced Clarks. They're great! The over-priced ones are not great -- they feel the same and are over-priced.You have to weigh the price-point against quality, and these shoes are it! The sole is a soft, foam-like material and will get wrinkly from normal use. The outer looks like fake (not 'faux' cos I'm American) leather, like my Nunn Bush. However, nobody should notice / be staring at my feet, anyway. That is weird.Now, I'm going to obliterate these shoes in four weeks' time and make Forrest Gump's magic shoes look less magical. When I start getting ridiculed at work for having old, beat-up shoes I'm going to go home, put on some Morrissey, eat a bucket of ice cream, buy another pair of these same shoes and tell myself it'll all get better soon.I like these shoes!

For the most part Clark’s are comfortable from the get-go. This pair there was a slight exception…my right heel was a bit sore the 1st day, but then they were comfortable thereafter. I like them for being lightweight and flexible.

These shoes have a lightweight and very flexible sole plate and insole, so they might not give you the support you are looking for if you are standing around on your feet all day long like a bartender might or if you have problems with plantar faciaitis. I did have enough room to insert an orthodic device to firm up the sole flex. The leather uppers are nice and soft like calfskin, and the toe box is roomy. The heel cup is a little narrower than some shoes, for me this makes the shoe more stable on my foot so it does not slop around. The slip resistant sole gives you a very good grip, even on a wet tile kitchen floor. Only had them a month, so don't know yet about the long term wear prospects, they should last me a year on the job at my office.

These are not narrow like a lot of newer designs so they fit perfectly from day one

I ordered these for my husband and he is very pleased with the fit and look of the shoes. They are true to his size and are very comfortable and stylish. They arrived a day before promised and in excellent condition. We would get these again.

Light and confirtable

When I ordered the shoe online, Clark shoes had specific width option. (example 11 EE). When I received the shoe, the width in the shoe indicated (W). Although the shoe fit properly, I wish Clark shoes had actual width. I had issues in the past where W and WW are don't fit properly.Overall, the shoe are very light weight and provide good support, and feet stay cool. You can tell the shoe rubber will take a lot of wear.

The new version of Clark's wader pure are not made anywhere close to the way the used to be. Most importantly the traction is not as slip resistant as before. Secondly they're not made with the same quality of leather. All they do is look the same is look the same as the previous version. I had at least 2 pairs prior to my most recent purchase and can tell the difference. Sorry Clark's
