Same exact information that's in other personal training book by same author
If you have his other book, don't get this one. It doesn't have any new information that is not already in the other personal training book. It's not even re-worded or rearranged. It's literally the same information word for word. Book is useful if you don't have the other one so I'm giving it 4 stars.

Eased my nerves & mind.
I have been working as a group fitness instructor for 5 years. Just received my PT Ceeridication and tell you the truth I'm nervous!! There is so much to learn beyond the Certification book. This author knows the ins and outs. He gives several life training experiences of his own. I would also get the book that compliments this one. He has eased my mind knowing I will be an awesome trainer.

How to market your talents successfully
the title and picture lead me to believe it would include actually personal training tips...not...lot of info on how to run a successful personal training business...how to get clients (fill out calendar with fake appointments) lure clients in by flattery etc. and there are no certification programs worth the money out there...have training credentials might help convince some clients...satisfied customers bring satisfied customers ...focus on business people who want to look good...real estate sales people, etc

a MUST read for all trainers
I have been a personal trainer for about six years. I found this book to be a great addition to my training library. I run a private studio and will have this on loan for all of my trainers to read. Every trainer should check this book out! Full of very useful information for trainers of all types and in all situations.

Waste of money
Thought i was buying a handy reference book. The cover says so. This is NOT the personal trainer “reference” with handy stuff for personal trainer sessions. This is basically a short version of the of the larger book by the author!!! Salesmanship at its best. Do NOT be fooled by the cover. Most of us certified trainers don’t have “daily questions” about (from the index) starting your career off right, marketing and keeping clients, turning the job into a career, etc etc. WASTE of money !!! Will sell you mine- just like new and hardly used if you must have this book.

A Quick Read with Killer Content
I've been following Jon online for a while and have been impressed with his complete, yet succinct, presentation of knowledge, tips, and tricks. The Pocketbook is clear and concise, a quick read with killer content; the sales information is a nice overview of what I've read in other books in addition to practical tips for every day efficiency. Thank you for putting it all in one place!

Don't Waste Your Money
I had heard good things about this author and a handbook sounded like the way to go so I bought this book as a gift for my son, a newly qualified PT.First impressions were not good, typo's on the back cover hinted at sloppy (not a good look for someone in this field)The content was disappointing and quite frankly insulting. Confusing and unhelpful, as a writer myself I could see at a glance that much of what was written would easily become dated, such as 'copy bulking' advice about insurance and the like. This book should be considered more along the lines of an e-zine with an inflated ego, likewise the price point - over inflated. For what you find here, you'd do better with a google search. For a couple of quid more you can go for something, my son found to have, real heart for the profession put into it. I bought the book below with the refund from the above.Conscious Coaching: The Art and Science of Building Buy-InBartholomew, Brett

I would highly recommend this book...
I bought this after finding the PDTC website. It came through the post box and I flicked through the pages quickly, then read it from cover to cover. I was doing something’s it covers already. But there where other aspects I hadn’t considered and potentially overlooked.I’ve referred back to it on several occasions and recommended it to a few friends. I would highly recommend this book and I don’t take a lot of time to write reviews however this was worth it.

Great book
Amazing book. I read the ignite the fire, so I was already attracted to this. Another motivational book for trainers and also everyday society. This is a book where you would have to read again and again. Highly recommended

Good
I enjoyed this book. some of it was not relevant so I skipped those bits. It is not always suitable advice for the British trainer. Easy to read and funny.

Not what I expected
The book wasn't what I expected, but purchased to help me with a level 3 diploma in Personal Training. It's pure common sense really and wasnt really much help to me.
