Too Good to be True
I love Amazon for its diversity of products and quick service. However in this case, not so much. Number one, we typically don’t know where the products come from and two, the products are of questionable quality. I just wanted to buy some Bay laurel (Laurus nobilis) seeds. I wanted to try to grow these plants from seeds (they have a reputation for being difficult to germinate). So I ordered a package of 100 seeds from the “GANOS” storefront in Amazon. Ok, I was a little nervous at $6.21….seemed too good to be true, but tried the more expensive seeds from a reputable seed company with 3 germinated out of 40 seeds. So two weeks later I get the GANOS seeds in the mail……from the Philippines. Nothing against the Philippines, spent much time there, love the food and people; but a plant native to the Mediterranean region from the tropics also seemed a little suspicious. I would of thought twice ordering from GANOS, had I known they get their Laurus nobilis seeds from the tropics. And then of course were the seeds themselves. Note what they look like below and then compare them with the textbook picture. Doesn’t appear that I got what I paid for even at the low price of $6.21. I guess it really was too good to be true!

Won't germinate
I have tried to plant these about 10 different times and not a single seed has sprouted. I have tried to start them outside, inside, and in a greenhouse.

Bay laurel seeds?
Not sure what seeds they are, but they don't look like bay leave trees? Only a few weeds grew nothing from the seeds. I gave a one star because I think Ganos is not an honest company.

Not acceptable!
I am not happy with it at all. I tried to germinate several seeds but none of them germinated. So, my rating is not good for this product.

Can't really review it yet!
I have been sowing the seeds for awhile now. Nothing yet. I am aware upon reading about these seeds that they are very likely to FAIL and ROT and are OFTEN temperamental. I am inexperienced with these TYPE of seeds and this plant so I can't really "assign" blame if there is a problem. The seeds may very well be "fine" and just need WAY MORE attention than I have given them. I would REALLY like to grow one of these bushes so I can get "cheap" bay leaves..but we can't ALL grow the things we always want! Thank you.
