It works, but it's temperamental
It works, but the volume is lowered. You have to turn up the device & radio volume to get a workable listening volume. I'm using this in a car to switch from radio to iPod/AUX. You have to take care not to switch off the iPod device band to a different input because then that volume be drastically higher and blow out your eardrums. Also, the connector that plugs in to the iPod input has to be kept immobile. Any movement and the connection breaks intermittently just like if you pull an instrument jack out of an amp when it's "hot" because the volume is turned up and the speakers take the hit.

Works for SoundDock connection to Airport Express
My objective was to repurpose a first generation Bose SoundDock for use as an in-room speaker, through which to play my iTunes library, using an Airport Express wireless router (first generation SoundDock does not have an audio input). To do this, open AirPort utility, select the Airport Express physically nearest to the SoundDock, select Music, and check Enable AirPlay. Plug the 3.5MM male plug into the bottom of the Airport Express, and the female end into the SoundDock where you would usually place the iPod, and you should be all set (you may need to reboot your computer, and might need to pick one of the little white inserts your SoundDock came with that fits around the male input so the female end seats properly). It works perfectly - glad to get more years and use out of this older yet reliable SoundDock.

It's OK, just don't abuse it.
The quality is ok. I purchased this item for my daughter so she could plug her off -brand MP3 player into her stereo Ipod dock.I told her not to continually plug and unplug into the docking station. It seems a little fragile. But for the price, I can always buy another.UPDATE: 1 year later and it is broke. Daughter pulled entire plug off while removing from MP3 player.

Works well for me
I use this cable to connect several devices to an iPod dock and it works well. At first I had a different connector, but it gave up after just a couple of months. This one does cost a bit more than some other cables, including the one that failed. However it is a noticeably heavier cable, so I expect it to work longer. If I'm wrong I'll update this.

Works to connect my mp3 player to iPod connection, but...
I'm a somewhat disappointed, but it does what it is supposed to. I have an iPod jack in my new car, and I wanted to be able to play my mp3 player. The cords fit each other, but the sound is so low, I cannot hear it while driving. It could be my mp3 player, but maybe it would work better with another brand or upgraded player.

Works Great but a little expensive
I was looking for a way to play my iPhone 5 on my old iPhone 4 set up in my car, I tried nearly 20 adapters; this is the only thing that worked! It's a little expensive, but worth it.! The cord is long enough to reach on both side of the car (if placed in the center). Worth the money for sure!

Ermmmm Just Okay.
This is my second purchase of the same product. The first one died after only few months. Why did I buy another one? Because I couldn't find any other similar product. It does what it says, but in the process, it some how reduces the volume by at least 25%. It is serving it's purpose at the moment, but as soon as I find something else, I will replace it.
