I have a son under 2 years old who was a preemie, and has some delays. He's still not drinking from an open top cup like some others near his age and is in occupational therapy for those delays. His therapist brought cups like these to one of his sessions to show him how to pour things such as rice, pasta, sand, water, etc. Unlike other cups, he had no hesitation to putting these cups to his lips like you would to take a drink and I immediately decided to buy some in an effort to teach him how to use a cup to drink.
