Decent sound quality and looks. Finicky buttons to change stations from CD to radio to Bluetooth. LED readout too bright for nighttime. All this stuff fairly minor, and overall would give better rating but 2 years post purchase CD player malfunctioned and won’t play. Contacted Tivoli customer service. Their suggestion was to turn unit upside down for 24 hours. I did that— nothing. On follow up Tivoli said I’m on my own. Local stereo shop has never seen one and not optimistic they can fix it. Bought the unit for a CD player, pretty expensive purchase for two years. . .

The only reason I gave it four stars is because I think it is pretty expensive. If the price was more reasonable, I would have rated it five stars. I was trying to find a radio that would pick up a local station that does not stream and that I could easily hear in my car but never in any location of my house with my old (and cheaper) radio. It was also important that I could play CDs because I own several hundred and do not want to spend time converting them to MP3s. Well, using only the little FM wire antennae that was included, I clearly can pick up my little elusive radio station. If I listen closely I can hear a tiny amount of static but it is only apparent on that station and all the other stations I listen to come in perfectly clear. The sound quality is excellent for a mini-stereo system. I easily paired a Blackberry device as well as Samsung devices to the Tivoli. I found the instructions for setting it up very easy to follow. The two weaknesses are that 1) it is fairly heavy if you plan to move it from room to room and 2) Internet access is not built in. In order to access Pandora or any Internet music site you must have another device that is paired via Bluetooth with it. I would definitely recommend this product and am glad I purchased it.

The sound from the multiple speakers (including the down-firing bass) is superior to anything else I have heard in a book-shelf radio-CD system. It is especially attractive to the eye with controls that are simple and logical. For those who do not want multiple components, this is the obvious choice for the eye and the ear.

Absolutely love this radio. Great sound and Bluetooth ready. Not cheap but very well made.

This tivoli has been a huge disappointment since day 1. Sound - mediocre tinny light weight sound. Bluetooth - pairing is a pain and unreliable. Clock - numbers are small and hard to read. The buttons - all the buttons are the same size and feel so turning the radio off means you need a lot of light to read the descriptions. Build quality - The woodwork and look of everything is beautiful and what you would expect from a design driven company. On a side note I have a Tivoli PAL and absolutely love it.

I purchased two of these recently, one for myself and one for my daughter. As a bit of an audiophile, I had high hopes for these, especially given Tivoli's reputation for outstanding table radios. However, I was fairly let down by the sound and as a result I have very mixed feelings about them. On the one hand, they are beautifully designed and really the best clock radio you can find---easy to set up, easy to use, easy to change, etc. On the other hand, the sound when playing from the radio is only so-so---very muddy and unengaging. When playing from a CD or iPod, the sound is great. My conclusion is that the FM receiver portion of the system is poor quality. That is extremely disappointing, given the price. The bottom line is that if you want a nice clock radio and don't mind paying a high price for it, this is a nice all-in-one system. Just don't expect it to perform like a real audiophile device---it is just an expensive clock radio.

Great sound quality, elegant design. The only drawback is its remote, not so intuitive. This could be overlooked for other great experience it brings.

Awesome sound. Exactly what I was looking for. It's hard to find a good tabletop FM radio/CD player with great sound.

Very good sound for music but base sound very strong for or overpowering for conversations. Buttons are very small and the printed guide is not friendly for visually challenged. wish had provided a printed version of manual rather than having to go on-line and print it.
