Streamlight 20603 SL-20L Full Size Rechargeable LED Flashlight with 120-Volt AC/DC Charger

I've attached pictures under images for this light from snapping pics on a football field. The beam throw is amazing! I use this as a LEO and it is perfect for duty. It is light, solid (Like a PR-24 baton) and rechargeable. The beam throw will surprise you and will go further than your eyes can see (perfect to spot someone from a very far distance). My partners have been surprised at how light and easy it is to function. If you are LE or want a light that will show you a threat from 400 yards, this is the flashlight for you! Cheap price but not cheaply made. I love streamlight and 100% recommend this product.

I bought this flashlight based on Amazon reviews and I can say, without reservation, that I have NOT been disappointed. I've been using it, off and on, for about a year. It holds a charge well and its range/field of illumination is absolutely amazing! It's solidly built but not overly heavy, fits nicely in the hand and the strobe feature, should it be needed, is a nice option. Previously, I've owned MagLites, which are pretty nice flashlights as well, but the Streamlight 20603 SL-20L is definitely in a class of its own.

I bought this to replace my Mag Charger which I finally retired after ten years. Was a little skeptical about it being bright enough being an LED. I was very impressed using it at night. The light output is bright and focused. The construction is solid as one would expect from Streamlight. I own two other Streamlight lights and this one has been just as reliable. Purchasing from Amazon.com is fast and I know that this light will last me another ten + years.

I had been using my aluminum SL20 for over 15 years and upgraded to this flashlight for the greatly increased illumination (huge difference!) and brightness levels (4 different levels). So far I have been very pleased. It operates just like the original. If you need to change brightness or move to the strobe you just need to hold the button in for an extra second. It operates with the same charging system as the old lights, so my old light is mounted at home for around the house stuff in the new charger, while new light fits on the board at work - so no need to remount any hardware.

Only gave it one star not because it's not a good flashlight, I have a 30 year old SL-20 that I just put a new battery and bulb in and it is the best!!, but because it arrived and was broken upon arrival!! I charged it overnight and it failed to light at all not even a dim lite !! I immediately returned it as defective. Now Amazon was great they gave me a full refund and shipped it back no charge via UPS. So I really can't say wether this is a good flashlight or not. I know my 30 year old SL-20 works like it did the day I bought it 30 years ago and I swear by StreamLites'. Maybe some day I will buy another one of these and try it out. Don't NOT buy a StreamLight because of this. They are solid, well built, durable very bright flashlights that have easy access and use chargers. But I just got a bad one that was factory defective. It happens. I will continue to use my Old Reliable and maybe someday get it a new sibling!! My advise ! Buy Streamlight and deal with Amazon !!

I was a bit leary of a LED flashlights capability regarding brightness however this light is brighter and whiter light than my Ultrastinger and not just slightly, it is much brighter. The need for a spare bulb isn't there anymore and the (high, medium, low) and strobe features are really a nice touch. The strobe really gets ones attention in traffic. It also would get a pilots attention easily when landing a medivac chopper in a difficult area.Overall, this is the best light I have ever owned yet. I hope it stands the test of time like the other streamlights I have owned have.

I've had this flashlight for about four months. I work graveyard shift and have never dropped this flashlight.This flashlight constantly turns off while I use it. When I take the battery partially out and put it back in, the flashlight will work for awhile, then turn off again.I don't see an option to contact the amazon seller.Please let me know if anyone else is having this problem or if there is a solution.Thank you.
