BASICFIL PET 1.75mm, 1 kg, 3D printing filament , Clear

It's hard to be clear whether this is PET or PETG. Some say one thing, some say another. What is clear is that this is noticeably more brittle than other PETG-branded filaments I have used although it is still obviously a good deal better than PLA in this regard. It does like a higher print temperature; I'm using around 250 degrees. Given that low-cost PET(G) filaments are getting very hard to find, it works well in its intended application; printing Covid-19 face mask headbands for the health services.

This is one easy filament to print with. Filament is clear in the spool but become frosted when printed. Would have been 5 stars if this was any of the opaque option from BASICFIL.

The media could not be loaded.  I haven't used PETG before but this seems to be PETG rather than PET as I understand the PET is more brittle. I did a bend test shown in the attached video which seems to show flexibility and a lot of plastic deformation. It seems to require drying out before using as it is not sealed on arrival and produces a roughish surface after printing.

I like the quality of the product, it really works well with PRUSA printers.

This is a unacceptable and a basic requirement.I was 13 hours in to a print and found this cross over in the roll but I was too late to save my print. This was a massive waste of my money and it's not even my fault.
