‘[Store bought] Shampoo is like a perfumed detergent.'
Erik Smith is a prolific writer of self-help books. Some of his many publications include ENLIGHTENED RUNNING, STRESS MANAGEMENT, CARBOHYDRATE CYCLING FOR WOMEN, NATURAL TESTOSTERONE BOOSTERS FOR MEN, HIGH FIBER FOODS, GRATITUDE JOURNAL, GREEN SMOOTHIES, TEA CLEANSES, MEDITATION FOR BEGINNERS, LIFE COACHING, DUKAN DIET, GARAGE SALE SUPERSTAR, VITAMIN D: A BEGINNERS GUIDE TO VITAMIN D, FORAGING, and now – homemade shampoos. He suggests a practice that is both healthful and healthy and less expensive than purchased products for hair!Erik sets the tone of his concept information in his Introduction – ‘With so many available types of shampoos that can be bought commercially, why would you bother making your own? Before giving you a glimpse on how simple the process of making your own shampoo is, here are the top reasons why you ought to, at least, give this a try: 1. It’s cheaper. 2. It does not contain chemicals and the ingredients are mostly organic. 3. You can create the right shampoo depending on what type of hair you’ve got. How simple can it get? The succeeding chapters of this book contain a number of homemade shampoo recipes. The process is really simple. Actually, you can begin taking away the commercially bought shampoos by having only two ingredients – apple cider vinegar and baking soda. Don’t worry about the smell. As long as you use the ingredients properly, no one will be able to guess what you have used on your hair, but they will definitely get intrigued because your hair will look nice and healthy. Never overlook your hair because it is one of the most important parts of your body. There are certain health problems that can be determined by simply looking at the condition of your crowning glory - Hair with white and yellow flakes, Brittle hair, Gray hair, Hair loss, Dry and thinning hair, Limp and greasy hair, and Thinning hair’.After detailing the possible harm that ‘store-bought’ shampoos can cause, Eric discuses the following - The Importance of Learning about How to Make an All-Organic Shampoo, How to Begin Eliminating the Use of Commercially Available Shampoos, Herbs and Other Simple Solutions for the Hair, and finally 17 Homemade All-Natural Shampoo Recipes. As with all of Erik’s books, this book is brief but covers the details of his concept – and the aspect that makes his books readable and useful is the innate honesty and simplicity of this presentation. This book opens the door to a healthy alternative. Grady Harp, February 18

Homemade Shampoo
Good ideas but the e-book was poorly written w/many of the pages cut off and therefore many of the recipes were cut off. I would not get another one of the author's ebooks . Glad it was free!
