I'm not a "Hat Guy". I'm a big, fat carpenter with a big, fat head,... and I work outside, in Miami, in the summer. Shade and cold water are highly under-rated until you don't have any, then... Mexican Sombreros and Vietnamese conical farmer hats got it right. If I could, I'd wear a circus tent to get out from under the relentless Sun. Laugh at my big pumpkin-head under this ridiculous hat all you want, but I'm watching your skull cook under your puny baseball cap. Good luck with that.

I cannot say nothing wrong

Bought this hat because I wanted more sun-protection on my face when kayaking, especially since I needed to take a new driver's license photo the following Monday, and I didn't want to show any sunburn. Not only did it cover my entire face from the sun and sun damage, it is a really cool looking hat!At first, the back rim of the hat would rub against my PFD every time I paddled, but that was because I was wearing it too low on the back side. It eventually corrected itself, and I had 0 issues with it afterwards.There is an adjustable strap that I was able to tighten under my chin so that my had didn't fly off when the wind started kicking in.When I rolled my kayak, the hat fell off (wasn't wearing the chin strap), but it floated in the water until I was able to retrieve it. It dried off really fast!Highly recommended hat for kayaking!

I bought this for my husband to wear at the beach or in the yard .If you have had or want to prevent melanoma and or skin cancer the brim stands upright well...and the head has a drawstring to adjust.. It would work well for gardening in flowers , or yard work or mowing grass.. Also for anyone needing to shade their face.We ordered the lightest color tan because the sun is so hot in alabama and that will not attract as muchheat in that color...Will update you and let you know more on the hats...

Well made hat. Dark color and the materials that it's made of makes my head sweat so much I can't see. On a cooler day or in the rain and drizzle this hat would be great but to call it a sun hat I believe is wrong. Best to call it what it is ahead solar furnace.

It hasn’t rained since this hat arrived and I’ve been too lay and unadventurous to try it in the shower. So I can’t yet comment on how well this hat does in the rain. But I can say it’s what I was hoping for. I have a disability that compels me to use a rollator (fancy walker) when I am out and about. Controlling a walker and an umbrella simultaneously hasn’t worked for me. I need both hands on the walker for optimal stability. Steering a walker while the Chicago winds are filling your umbrella and turning it into a sail is, frankly, dangerous. Likewise, trying to hold an umbrella up high enough to see what and, more importantly, who is around you is difficult. So I am hoping this hat with its broad brim will deflect much of the rain allowing me to retain a shred of dignity when I walk in the rain. Yes, they make mechanical contrivances to mount umbrellas on wheelchairs, mobile chairs and maybe walkers. But they are too big and cumbersome to leave on a rollator all the time and take considerable time to install and uninstall. The hat itself is nice and cushy. It fits well and, of greatest importance, folds into a very compact package. I think it will wear moderately well and last at least two or three years. As of now, it has what I presume will be a permanent place in my rollator bag and I feel prepared to deal with rain.Jerry

I have skin cancer on my face. Searched for hours looking for a large brimmed hat. Came across this one and read all the reviews and a majority of them said that it runs small in size. I have a very small head and it is difficult to find hats that fit. So I ordered it hoping it ran as small as people were complaining about. It is way to large for me, it covers my eyes when I put it on even with the head band cinch pulled at tight as it would go. Fits my husband perfectly. I'll keep looking for one for me.

In this Texas sun....if you have to do any work outside you have to be prepared....this is the ticket for keeping the sun off of your neck. Lightweight and breathable too.

Not much to say about it now, I haven’t had the chance to wear my new Cap. Looking forward to wear it this Summer. It looks vey good but needs a bit of pressing before I wear it under the sun!!!
