Months before this major-label debut appeared, Enrique Iglesias scored a radio hit with the upbeat "Bailamos," thanks to its inclusion on the soundtrack of Wild Wild West . Enrique 's bid to firmly place the son of Julio in the mainstream pop firmament leads off with another midtempo dance-pop airwaves candidate, "Rhythm Divine." The track is typical of the rest that follow: highly wrought emotion recalled in a bed of glossy production that uses Latin syncopation as a reminder of the singer's roots while resolutely aiming for chart supremacy next to the likes of Celine Dion. Filled with pop romanticism--a duet with Whitney Houston, a cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Sad Eyes," and proclamations on the order of "I've seen the sun make love to the sea"-- Enrique is easy enough on the ears, and looks like a surefire hit. --Rickey Wright Songs are: Rhythm Divine, Be With You, I Have Always Loved You, Sad Eyes, I'm Your Man, Oyeme, Could I Have This Kiss Forever (with Whitney Houston), You're My #1, Alabao, Bailamos, Ritmo Total (Rhythm Divine), Mas Es Amar (Sad Eyes), No Puedo Mas Sin Ti (I'm Your Man). Review: It came !!!! - Great !!!! Review: Romantic and Beautiful! - This is one of the most romantic CD's ever made! The music is gorgeous and sultry Latin fusion.

A truely inspiring album...always have, will be and forever more!
When Enrique was first coming on the scene, his famous father said he wouldnt make it. Every time I listen to Enrique I think of dreams that i have had made during the period when this album was out. It brings back very special memorys. I crazy dream of becoming a DJ, purchasing his vinyl and spinning in a basement of a house i rented that i converted to a disco. It was majic i close my eyes and go back to this time and shortly after in Hawaii, truely wonderful memories. Thank you enrique...you are a true talent that proved everyone wrong and still going strong. and a big thank you to Amazon.com in advance for having this amazing service finding these cds again. I had a majority of them stolen from a landlord when i moved out of that house. Thanks for putting these precious CDs in my hands again!

Another great album.
I really like this one too, but prefer Escape. Listen to it at night before I go to sleep. The quality of his voice and the lyrics and the music is great! Would recomend this one too.

A Superbe Dance CD!
Great Australian Limietd Edition which has, in the original album with 14 tracks, a bonus CD with 10 tracks, remix versions of Be With You, Rhythm Divine and Bailamos. Can not stand the sound of this bonus remix CD. Item scarce and highly recommended for lovers of good dance music!

Didn't think I'd like it as much as I do!
I wanted this CD for a long time, but just never bought it. But I guess after hearing "Be With You" on the radio so much and having some extra money in my pocket I decided to pick it up. And I'm not dissapointed...in fact I would rate this as one of the best cd's of the past year and totally underrated. On some songs "Oyeme" and "Alaboa" he's trying to ride that Ricky Martin "Shake Your Bon Bon" type wave...and it doesn't work...it's just annoying. But Enrique is a really talented artist. "Rhythm Divine" "Be With You" "Bailamos" are really catchy pop songs, but are really well written and are more intelligent I think. I really like "Sad Eyes" which is a remake of A Bruce Springsteen song I've never heard. I think this is a great song. I like the way he sings because of his accent on certain words. I think this should be his next single...equiped with club mixes of course. "Could I Have this kiss Forever" with Whitney Houston is really good. But Whitney sort of overpowers the song, but it's ok (that's why it says Whitney Houston and Enrique Iglesias I suppose). All in all this is a real adult, smart, catchy album. He's really underrated. Oh and by the way the Thunderpuss club mix of "Be With You" is pure bliss. If you can find that than buy it at any cost.

Es muß nicht immer Best of sein; dies trifft in diesen Fall zu; Super Stimme, wie der Vater so der Sohn; richtige Wohlfühlmusik....

Bargain price for a brilliant album. Definitely one of his best for one of the earliest.
I brought this originally many many years ago when it first came out. Of course back then no one has heard of him and I had to order the disk in specially. As his fame grew the songs became popular and with fame he drifted away from his roots ,from the sort of music his father had taught him to love and sing. There are a few of his more modern ones that do a "nod" back to the original style, but this album is where it all began. The love for music, the love for singing, the love to share his voice. The album is split between English and Spanish but that does not take anything away from it at all, indeed it does the opposite! It draws out the magic, the passion ,the romance and you hear him in his natural language,it adds a little extra sparkle I believe. There's a couple of songs on here you will know and some you won't but for the sake of memories from years ago, from the feeling of love and relaxation this is an absolute bargain!!
