SturdiShelter Car-GO Single Black Portable Pop Up Carrier

I really like this kennel/carrier for in the car. It's a safe place for my new puppy to ride instead of jumping on me. I like that there is a way to secure it with a seat belt. This prevents it from sliding around while driving in town. The problem I had with it was using it as a kennel once I got to my destination. I had a very young (3 month old) small breed puppy, and he was able to flip the kennel over and over, moving it across the room. He did this by jumping up on the side wall and getting it to turn over. We had to wedge it between two chairs to hold it in place. While being lightweight is great for its portability, it proved a problem in being secure and made it less desirable for using as a kennel.

I think this is well made and very convenient. It stores flat and pops up nicely when you need it. My "grandpuppy" a Boston Terrrier uses this since she's a little crazy to drive with and I have to admit, she is not fond of it. She would rather be jumping all over the back of the car, always excited as to where we are heading. But she is safer confined, so we use it. :)

We wanted these carriers for moving our cats from one state to another. They are nice, but wish they were a little sturdier. I hope they can contain our big boy and little girl.

It took our big male cat awhile to take to this but once the weather cooled he climbed right in. So -- he's been using it as his bed. Since we plan to take a long road trip with him we are happy he likes it so far. It gives him plenty of room to stretch out and we added a Purr Pad which he loves. We'll take him on a trial run trip and hope for the best! The shelter is well made and can be secured with seat belts in the car. It's big and works for a large cat (ours is 18 pounds) and has lots of ventilation. When I zipped it closed our cat started clawing the screen so we may have to put protective tips on his nails.

I needed a carrier with a shoulder strap which was what was stated on the description of this product however, it was not stated that the strap was actually on the outside protector of the item instead of the item itself. I am now back to the same problem I had before ordering this product and am out the $80.00 I spent on this. Having to carry this product by the small handle on the top is very awkward. I would not recommend this product to anyone I know.

This carrier works great for us. We keep it seat-belted in the van & it's always ready to go. If I do have to switch it to another vehicle, it's light and easily moved. The quality is superior & our small dog loves it. The size we got is a little wider than the seat of our car, so the soft, flexible floor of the carrier would bend down when our dog stepped all the way forward, which scared her. To remedy this, we looped a rope to the carrier's top handle and slid it over the back seat headrest. It was tight enough to hold the front of the carrier up & rigid so that when our dog stepped forward, the floor didn't "give". Would highly recommend this carrier.

I ordered this for my 8-lb cat because we were moving across country from Chicago to Portland. We have a standard carrier we use to take her to the vet - she hates it and cries all of the way. For the long-distance drive, I knew it was important to make sure she had room to stand up and move around. Also I needed extra space to place a water and food dish at feeding times. Surprisingly, it worked out great! She rode in it for the entire 2,000 mile drive and didn't complain once. She loved it! So much so, we now have it out for her in our new home and she uses it as a bed.

My cat does not like being confined in a carrier during car rides, however she seems to do well in this carrier. There is enough room for her to sit up and move around a bit. She loves to chill out in it when it is not used in the car. Definitely a good choice for car rides and as a cat tent santuary.
