Kasco Deicer 1/2 HP Lake & Pond De-icer 120V – Single Phase with 50 Ft Electric Power Cord | Water Deicer for Ponds, Lakes & Dock Bubbler

Works great with the deicer controller. I dropped this off the back of my sailboat and tied the supplied ropes to the boat and it has kept the lagoon around my boat deiced in as low as -5F weather. I'm sure it would do the same in lower temperatures, based on reviews as far as Wisconsin.

I chopped a hole in the ice at the end of my dock so I could install the Kasco Deicer. The ice thickness was two to three inches and the temperature was low 20's. I turned the deicer on and figured it would take quite awhile to see any results, like a couple of day. In less than two hours, there was open water on the sides and beneath my dock. Within 24 hours, my 50' dock was ice free and there was open water 60' + and growing along the shore on both sides of the dock. I had planned to run this all winter, but once I saw how effective it was, I decided to pull it out and install it in late April and get the dock ice free before the lake starts to rise from snow melt. This was in Montana at 6500' elevation. The effectiveness of this equipment was a complete surprise and I'm sold on this equipment. I can't imagine what the 3/4 hp unit would do! Additionally, once the ice was gone, I could see that muck was also being moved! This will work in the summer to de-silt my dock area. Highly recommend this product!

This looks like a good quality product. I have not had a chance to test it’s performance in the real winter conditions yet, but I have confidence that it will deliver as advertised

Used the supplied ropes in lieu of the mount. Bought a wifi plug from Lowes. Can see when I need to turn on with camera on dock. Very happy with this deicer. I'm in deep water and it melts ice quickly.

This lasted only two seasons. Water began to leak into the housing causing it to kick the breaker. For the amount that these cost, they should last longer. Will never buy this brand again.

Ran fine all winter.

Easy to install, the unit is complete and works like a champ.

This is a high quality reliable product at a reasonable price. This is my second kasco marine pump. The first one lasted 15 years running approximately 8 hours daily for 8 months. Definitely recommend.
