If you have a key fob that is broke or on its way this product will solve the problem. It’s easy to assemble. It fits as it should. It’s not cheap thin plastic. It will protect your key tightly. The case allows the buttons to function as they should. It’s very durable worth the price.

If you like putting stuff together, it's kind of fun. This is better than paying I think it's like 200 for a new Lexus key, getting it cut and having it programmed. It was hard to get the key out of the original casing that has to be screwed in. Then it was difficult to get the key down into the new key enclosure. I used a jewel wrench to squeeze it down in there. You have to or the holes won't line up, and you can't close the shell around the key. But when you get it in there, it's snug, even before you add the screw in the back. I don't think it can be done with hands. There are some that click together, this one with the screw is super secure. It doesn't have the Lexus emblem on it. Which I'm mentioning because I ordered another that had the key and you add the programming part and get the key cut, but it looks like an actual Lexus key casing. I think this one is more secure than that one though.

Very simple to install. Beats paying $100+ at the dealer for a new one.

Horande Keyless Entry Remote Control Key Replacement Key Fob Cover Shell is a Tough Job but the cost is low. To complete the job, you have to insert the key "A" into the plastic part "B" to make "C" ( see diagram ). But the slot for "B" is much too small for the insertion. It took me one hour of careful grinding with a Dremel kit with a drill bit to enlarge the slot of "B" enough and not breaking it to fit the Key "A" in. You can do it with a drill too I guess. But of course, the final part looks great and works.

After reading some of the reviews about the product's fit, I was concerned. The original key had to be broken out of the old part. The key did not slide into the slot on the new fob as it is slightly wider at the top, not allowing it to slide into the plastic block. The width of the key had to be trimmed with a file of approximately .010 inch on either side allowing it to slide completely into the plastic holder. I installed the screw and covers with no problem. Excellent product. I would rather have to trim the key as I did to guarantee a tight fit into the plastic part. All good. I will purchase from the same vendor when I need to replace another key fob.

Required a major notch out and screw change to use on my Lexus es 300 2003 key fob, and I had to use the original back, but once done it is kind of cool! If you are not talented in this area you may want to re-think.

TL;DR: Buy Stauber's key shell replacement instead of this. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. This style of key shell has the same design flaws as the original shell, but worse. In this shell, the provided screw does not thread into the key blade like the original shell. Instead, it is meant to entirely pass through the hole in the blade and thread into the plastic shell on the opposite side. When I attempted to assemble the shell, the screw scraped the inside of the hole in the blade, requiring excessive force to get it through. Then, when I tried to thread the screw into the plastic hole, the plastic stripped, making the shell useless. Needless to say, I returned the product immediately.

This key fob cover was a perfect fit for my Lexus. The shell snapped together securely, the buttons feel solid, and it looks just like the original. Much cheaper than buying a full new fob, and it gave my old worn-out remote a brand new look. Highly recommend if your OEM shell is cracked or faded.
