Handheld Steamer

I LOVE my steam buddy! My last one bought from an as-seen-on-tv store lasted for 8 years. I may have broke it by using the local super-calcified water on tap.This one came with a used box but it works just as well. It came with all the attachments I have long lost with my last one. I take it everywhere when I travel, even to a wedding where I had to steam my bridesmaid dress and husband's suit. It works well on silk as well as 100% cotton collared shirts in a pinch. Best thing about it is that it heats in 2 minutes. Please learn your technique to steaming! Start at the top of the garment and move the steamer side to side quickly. Keep your hand holding the garment tight at least 5 inches away from the steamer. "Blurping" water is ok. It will dry fast. I hate to iron and have burnt many tabletops and towels doing so. This is a great solution for people on the go. It takes me only 10 extra minutes to steam a shirt before work. It saves time and energy from having to throw clothes in the dryer. For thin fabrics the dryer method doesn't work anyway.I don't know why other sites gave this little guy such bad reviews but mine works just fine.

Product is so-so. This is the second one I've owned. First one seemed better. This one doesn't seem to produce the same amount of steam, getting the clothes more wet than actually steaming them. Not sure if I just got a bad one or not. Somehow it seems to get the job done though.

I ordered item and it said it was new. It is not new, it is well used and missing parts. I ordered it to take on a Cruise on November 5th and did not open it when I received it. I wanted to steam a blouse yesterday and decided to open it and try it out. It is too late for me to return it but wanted to let someone know how disappointed I am.

Thanks to this simple, lightweight, effective handheld steamer, I now "iron" all my clothes in about half the time and with better results than with my iron. To tell the truth, I really wasn't expecting much for such a small price, maybe something I could use to "freshen" clothes up a bit while on a trip. Big surprise. I love it! The iron, by the way, now sits somewhere in the back of the closet.

This item does not work as advertised. It works (sort of) but takes longer than using a regular iron. The continuous steam option doesn't work at all. The burst of steam sometimes leaks water all over. Also, I do not consider it compact enough for travel.

The Steam Buddy is really a great tool for travel or at home. It heats up quickly, and is so easy to use for those hanging lines or packing wrinkles. i have had one for a long time, and I bought this one for my son who travels world wide. I would recommend this for anyone.

I love this! This is actually my second steam buddy, I had one prior for four years but it broke bc it was leaking and the button popped off. But I really hate ironing, and this is perfect to get wrinkles for most light items in my closet. (Don't expect the heavy starch look from a wrinkly button down, but it gets the majority of wrinkles out) It's pretty inexpensive so it's not going to work as well as an iron, but I use it most mornings and really love it. My only issue in terms of design is that it doesn't have an auto switch off, so if you accidentally leave it plugged in all day it won't shut off.

No, it didn't because it was non-functional. I DO appreciate that I could return it and receive a refund but that's not what I wanted. I wanted a replacement and I was not given that option so I am disappointed in 2 regards. So now I had to go to the trouble of packaging it and sending it back and if I want a new one, ordering THAT and paying the extra postage! I guess you cannot win them all. One note is that I've had one before and it was great.
