My opinion instead of buying this unit you are better off buying Garmin GDL-39 3D and Samsung Galaxy tab ...
I almost bought this unit till I ran into Garmin GDL-39 3D.My opinion instead of buying this unit you are better off buying Garmin GDL-39 3D and Samsung Galaxy tab or iPad mini.Get Garmin pilot on your iPad and pair it up to use with Garmin GDL-39 3D and you are all set.With this setup you'll get GPS navigation/Subscription free ADS-B traffic alert/Weather.And of course attitude indicator which is the primary function of Dynon D1 pocket panel.

A lot of safety in a small package
Since my airplane has all vacuum attitude instruments, a backup of some kind was very important to me. The D1 is compact, mounts on the windshield without obstructing the view, and tracks my panel attitude indicator perfectly. The least expensive safety upgrade I've ever done to the airplane!

So So. Consider getting a true electrical artificial horizon.
The good:1)Nice mounting hardware included2)External antenna included3)Airplane and home chargers included4)Battery charge lasts long5)Dimmable displayShortcomings:1) It won't work at all without GPS signals.2) Hard to see the display when sun is shining. If you wear sunglasses you almost can't see it.3) On takeoff, if you fail to press right pedal, the horizon will appear banking about 30 degrees.4) Unit failed after about a month's use.
