Perfect for the needs
This is my third pair of liner gloves that i Have bought in order to work in the cooler/freezer department in my store in the backroom. The first pair was poor quality, the second pair was too bulky, and the goldilocks reference aside, this fit just right. About 2 weeks after I got the gloves, I no longer needed them in much fashion as I once have, (Worked in below freezing-40 degree temps about 5-6 hours a day 4 days a week, to only about 4-5 hours total a week), but I still have gotten use out of them. The grips on the palm and fingertips last A LOT longer than my first pair, in fact, they only started to wear once I washed them, (a tad disappointing, but I think that was my fault in how I washed them). The seams held up, I had free control of my fingers with inputting buttons, and the snug fit on the wrist added to the warmth. Be it liners, they are once again, not designed for below freezing temps for long periods of time, but they do certainly help with fingerless wool gloves. The reason for 4 stars, and not 5, is the sizing chart. I know..as all guys like to think, we always need an extra large everything, however, in other gloves I have bought and worn, including a different style in the OR family, Xlarge fit perfectly fine. When I had bought these, the gloves felt awfully snug, borderline tight. After a few uses, it felt like the gloves loosened up to fit my hands better, without losing the warmth it was designed for. With that said, if according to the size chart, you are a low Xlarge/high large, I would stick with the large. It may feel tight, but trust me, it will stretch to fit you.Overall, I do recommend these gloves highly. It is a tad pricey..but when i bought them I believe they were on sale for what i see the original price is. If you can last to see if they go on sale, go ahead, but for the price, you cant get much better.

Ultimate hiking/walking gloves.
I should probably pick up a few more pairs before they discontinue or change these. Awesome gloves. Remember, they are glove liners, not for 60 below Minnesota days. But I live in the moderate northwest and these are perfect range. I can wear them with the liners zipped in the pouch( roll the liner flat and spread out to avoid a lump), or add the waterproof cover for rain or a bit colder, or the best feature, is stuff a hot pack in the pouch with glove covers in the pouch or double layer. Unlike all other hot pack compatible gloves, you get to zip the pack in and not end up flinging it out onto the ground. I am easily good down into the low 20's with this combo. Only downside is they did not make them touch screen compatible, which will dock them a point in this day and age at this price bracket. Tip on hot packs: I have a short walking commute, maybe half an hour. Hot packs take a half hour to heat up, but still lots of life left when I get to work. To store for further use, I toss the air activated hot pack into a baggie, squeeze the air out, toss in another ziplock, squeeze the air out, and can get in almost a week of round trips out of one set of hot packs this way.

Love them. I ordered a second pair.
I wanted a pair of versatile gloves for cold weather hiking here in the Columbia River Gorge. Lots of rain, a little snow. Temps between 25-40 Fahrenheit. I hike 10-20 miles a week. These gloves are my favorites. These gloves consist of a primary "liner" that is essentially the glove. They come with a waterproof "shell" that slips over the gloves. This waterproof shell is very thin and light, and actually folds up and tucks into a pocket on the top of the liner. This is barely noticeable in feel or appearance. The liners cover a few inches of your arm, so no weather gets in. The liners also have some pull tabs to assist with tugging them onto the hand and appear durable. Most of the time, I just wear the liners. Like most synthetics engineered for outdoor use, they keep my hands warm even if wet. If I want to stay dry, the outer shell is always there ready to be slipped over top. A few times it's been a little warmer but I want to stay dry, I've used the shell alone without the liner. And of course using both the liner and shell keeps things even warmer. I really like this versatility as it helps me layer for temperature control while on the trail. Very happy - I am ordering a second pair "just in case"

Amazing gloves
I borrowed a pair of these on a ski trip over the winter from a friend of mine, and they were easily one of the best pairs of gloves I have ever worn. With the shell on over the liners, no matter how the wind blew, or how cold it was, my hands were perfectly warm, and I never felt a thing. I had great control over my poles at all times, and even though I fell into the snow, my hands were never wet. These are a steal at this price.

Good light gloves for mild weather
These gloves are great for mild weather. The material is comfortable and a little stretchy, and the integrated pockets that hold the rain covers are a great idea, although i've not yet used the rain covers. I will say, however, that these would not be good for very cold weather. If you are used to heavy wool gloves, for instance, these will not do. If you are looking for mild weather gloves, or gloves that fit very close to your hand, allowing you to easily grab and manipulate items, i can absolutely recommend these gloves. I use these gloves when hiking, and they are just right. Not too heavy, easy to grab onto my hiking pole or trees/rocks/etc. All in all, i'm satisfied.

The best gloves I have ever owned.
These are game-changing gloves, and certainly the best gloves I have ever owned. They come with rain covers, so you actually get gloves that cover these gloves. The rain covers fit inside a zip pocket that is on the back of your hand. The pocket is also big enough to accommodate hand warmers that can be bought on Amazon. The little loop at the bottom of the gloves is to pull the gloves on, which is great when they are wet. Outdoor Research is awesome, and these gloves are among the best things they make.I use these gloves for hiking in the Cascades where it is cold and rainy. These are high-performance gloves.

Outdoor Research versaliner glove
These are very good quality glove liners. They are close fitting and slightly stretchy. There is a handy zip on the front that allows you to insert a hand warmer. They have a pull tab on each glove. These are fairly warm but not waterproof. They also come with pertex outer shell gloves which are thin water resistant outers. On arrival beware! one of the shells is clearly visible but the other is concealed in the zip section of the liner. You may think that there is a shell glove missing when there isnt.Overall these are good liner gloves and i recommend them. Having said that i now use Hestra glove liners, my own personal choice though

Long in the thumb and pinky
I'm not sure how anyone could recommend the OR Versaliner. I wanted to love them, but I don't. The thumb and pinky finger are ridiculously long.. I guess if you need zero dexterity, they would be fine. I'm personally liking them less and less every time I wear them.I have not had them in rain yet, but my initial test in the sink was good and the shell kept the glove dry.Do not even bother wearing these below freezing unless you are doing something strenuous like running or hiking a heavy pack up a hillside. If you still insist on buying them.. make sure you check sizing. I've never bought anything but large, I needed a medium in this glove. If OR were to fix the fit issues with the glove, it would be a pretty solid product.

Used product labeled as new and punctured waterproof shell.
Repackaged used product. The new plastic tags (diferent color) were punched through the waterproof shell on one glove while the original tag was carefully secured un the Hanging hoop.
