Nice product to use behind the TV. Easy to install

Mounted this behind wall-mounted TV. So much cleaner than power cord running down to receptacle near the floor. Just make sure to mount this in a full-sized 1-gang old work box, as it is recessed and you just won't have the depth needed if you try one of those "thin" boxes. And NO, do NOT just use a low-voltage bracket... that's not to code.

I wish that every cord made was a flat faced angle connector, but that just isn't the case. That's where these come in handy. These make it so spots where cords would normally restrict furniture from sitting flush against the wall can do that. It's also good for wall mounted TVs or things like that.Leviton is a quality name so you know you can trust the product. The install is no different than any other outlet and took no time at all.Nothing bad to say, great product at an affordable price. Highly recommend.

First the product works just fine and I should have envisioned how it was going to (or not) benefit me. The facts are that it didn't help me at all but I kept it because it does work. I probably wouldn't have reviewed it all if I hadn't decided to replace it with a different outlet. At first it looks like you get the benefit of a recessed outlet and two receptacles; yes you do but they are not both usable. If you use a low profile cord, the cord covers the second receptacle (because it is recessed) making it useless. If you use a standard cord, the cord sticks out past the recess of the outlet making the recess feature next to useless. A flush receptacle with low profile cords is what ultimately works for me. Like I said; it works, I just don't see what problem it resolves.I replaced the plug with a standard flush plug today and I'm glad I did because I can plug in two low profile cords now.I upgraded the product to 4 stars because it is very well made. There isn't any reason to downgrade a product because the buyer didn't envision all the aspects of the design...

As part of a TV upgrade I needed a recessed outlet and this was perfect. The price could not be beat as I looked elsewhere and it was more expensive. The install was super easy (even if you have never done electrical wiring). I do a lot of home improvement so it took me all but 5 minutes to replace the old outlet with this one. It worked perfectly for my needs so that I could mount my new LG G3 TV flush against the wall!

This is a recessed outlet designed to fit in a standard 1-gang box. Which means there isn't much clearance between the outlet and the sides, because it's constrained to the standard box dimensions, and it requires a lot of room in the box, because it's recessed into it. If you're going to have problems with this it's probably going to be one of these two points, it doesn't look like this will play well with anything other than standard, straight out plugs. I bought this in hopes I could make a wall-wart flush mount, but the clearance just wasn't there. Which isn't a fault of the product, it's as good as it can be within the designed environment limitations.I recommend buying this and making sure it will work as expected with your plugs / configuration before relying on the outlet being recessed in any plans.

These units are great for hanging flat screen TV units on the wall and hiding the power cord. The recessed unit keeps the cord buried so the flat screen TV looks good on the wall.

Work well and as described. They were easy to install and now I can push my furnace up against the wall without wrecking the cords

This is a very good product, with a good idea. However, this one will take up a lot of space in the receptacle box. You will find hard to push it into it. What I did was push a lot of existing wire back to the wall. You will think hard if you can do it, before you order it, or hire an electrician to do it for you.
