I’m refinishing my red oak kitchen cabinets. When I try to screw in the hinges, the screws that came with the soft-close hinges have been snapping/breaking. THESE screws have not broken or let me down. Yes, I drill the red oak before screwing these in … they work great; great quality! I am koy disappointed.

Used these screws to replace the ones on my RV ladder that went to the roof. What a difference they made in how much stronger ladder is. I did strip one Philips head screw. I believe the angle was a little too great. Still gave them a 5.

When a storm door crash chain gets detached and then a strong gust of wind catches the door just right, the only thing stopping the door from smashing against the house is the door closer. Unfortunately, the manufacturer-supplied mounting screws for closers are only long enough to attach them to the frame, so when a gust slams a door open with enough force, the screws often get ripped out of the wood. These screws are long enough to reach the jack studs outside the frame and, being stainless steel, will be more resistant to weather extremes. I'm helping a friend with repairs to his rental house and these screws are my solution for reattaching the closers on 2 storm doors.

I sought stainless steel screws in a small quantity and a long (3" to 3½") to reach through a shower door jamb, the shower enclosure, plaster, and gypsum lath board to a wall stud. At long last, the door is stable and solid — which it never quite had been ever since the contractor put it in years ago, screwing it only to the fiberglass shower stall. An advantage in ordering them through Amazon is that I didn't have to buy a full box of 100 for $60 or so.

Used this to repair a screen door. The darn wind tried to take my door for a ride and overexerted him a bit, causing the standard-length screws to get pulled out of the door jamb. So I removed all three of them and beefed up the entire operation with these long boys. Now I am confident that if the wind gets ahold of him again, the whole door frame will be gone into the neighbor's yard along with the door.

The quality of stainless steel used to make these screws is not as hard as it should be and there is a tendency for the Phillips drive to chew out the head unless a lot of pressure is applied. Would have been better if they had a Robertson head.

Did the job. Used them for attaching weatherproof PVC electrical boxes to garage exterior. Had to go through 2 inches of rigid insulation and stucco before hitting 1/2" sheathing. Pre-drilled through the stucco first with a masonry bit, then no problems.
