I actually used the demo and then bought it thinking that the demo may not have had all of the features offered in the full version. Well, I was wrong. My requirement for this software was to record me playing the guitar and get the rhythm and notes recorded correctly so that I could use that to transcribe to a guitar tab. This would allow me to publish my songs that I do on youtube with guitar tabs displayed as I'm singing. I had already started doing it manually with another tool and just wanted a quick and easy package that could do this work for me. It was not to be, AudioScore 7 couldn't even do the simplest musical passages. I dummied my playing down so much, it was actually hard to play the guitar with no feeling. This is just not going to work. I have Sonar X1 and decided to just turn on a single track (the guitar in solo or single instrument mode) and record in AudioScore. It recognized voice instead of guitar and then added 3 other instruments to the only instrument, guitar, and mixed notes on the staff between the instruments. It is obvious that the algorithms must not have been used on real music. I called the vendor to return the item but they have not called me back yet. I'm a system and software engineer myself and couldn't imagine that the vendor would sale this item without some formidable testing before going live with this product. Was this product tested with Rock, Pop, Soul, Jazz or any other genre? If it was, I would like to see at least the test methods for this tool. I am out 230 bucks and don't intend on letting someone else spend their hard earned money on this item. By the way, I did finish the live guitar tab as I was singing manually without the help of this tool. It just took forever but it did work.Update on 7 Dec 2012 ---> After some negotiations with the vendor of this product, I have to say that they were very understanding of my frustration with the software package. I did decide to get another product instead and paid the difference for the product and familiar already with its capabilities. I commend Music Studio Direct for allowing the trade up to Sibelius 7, a notation software and abandon the idea of auto transcribing for now.

what's the total size of it?

I purchased this product in hopes that I could easily transcribe piano music I had arranged and performed, but the program only gives me gibberish when transcribing my music. Even with basic 5-6 voice, slow piano music in a polyphonic setting, the accuracy of the transcriptions was 0%. WOW. I want a different product.

AudioScore 7 Ultimate is probably the most expensive product available to turn your musical creation into a random collection of notes, spaced randomly on a random number of tracks (even if only one track is input). It's really a great creativity tool, since the output is totally unpredictable, and while "music" is not the output, a new genre could possibly emerge someday from the chaotic arrangements of notes. Of course, only truly sensitive, artistic listeners would be able to persevere and listen deeply enough to appreciate the disruptive progressiveness of the AudioScore output. The great thing is that with one click, a score reflecting the tangle can be transferred to Sibelius, where the resulting artifact can be refined even further.If you are looking to create a new art form, which may one day be appreciated, then spending the not insignificant amount asked for AudioScore may be your best bet.

As I was very much impressed by Photoscore, but needed some features not available in the "light" version, I decided buying that product. Naively assuming that AudioScore Ultimate (7.0.1) is of similar quality, I did the big mistake to purchase the bundle with both PhotoScore and AudioScore.I am very happy with PhotoScore as it does a really good job with most scanned material. But AudioScore is a big rip off (especially at its very high price). Even for the simplest (one instrument solo, played cleanly) song, it creates a complete mess. You are much faster transcribing a song manually than cleaning up the chaos AudioScore generates (a single violin is recognized as a combo of 6 instruments playing at the oddest pitches).The answer from Neuratron's support for my "what am I doing wrong?" question was "send me the song" from one person (from which I did not hear anymore after I sent the recording) and a "you should have tried before buying" reply from another person. So I am stuck with a very expensive piece of software that is completely useless for me.I wrote this here in the hope that it will help other people not to do the same mistake. Actually, I should have read the other reviews here before buying.

First I tried Audioscore 6 on a perfect MID file from a piano jazz roll! It came out nearly perfect. It interfaced with Sibelius 6 and the score was nearly perfect.Then I tried Audioscore 7 on the same perfect MID file. The results were a failure. A bunch of notes were added where there was literally no sound or reason for them. Failure. Only a hint of the original tune came out of this software. What did the Neurotron folks do to this so-called upgrade?This is only my second review with ONE star in over 8 years of purchases. If you can obtain great results from this product, please let me know.
