Yes, it works for MP3 CD's
I already had one MP3 disk (Ngagio Marsh "Tied up in Tinsel") that I wanted to play and had just gotten another. I knew that, theoretically, I could use I-tunes to turn these into files I could play on my i-pod. But that did not work. It just did not work. And I had just purchased another MP3 (CD) (Author Amy Tan). I have tried it successfully on my older MP3 CD. It worked. Maybe not perfectedly but still I could listen to it in the order of chapters as written.

very nice little player
I got a new one after the first didn't work. It is a nice little player. I got it to listen to MP3s. The battery life is really good. Even though it has a port for plug in power, I wasn't able to get any of several adapters to work. But since the batteries last nicely, it really isn't a big deal. I haven't tried anything other than the play button - so I don't know about any other features...

Don't even breathe on it
Ridiculously sensitive. At the slightest jiggle, it will stop and restart from the beginning of the CD. And I'm not talking about jogging or working out with it on. I'm talking literally pushing a function button while it's laying flat on a solid surface, or picking it up to change songs. Granted, this does not happen 100% of the time when I change songs, but its hefty 50% or so failure rate is pretty dang unacceptable. If you just let it sit and don't touch or even breathe on it, it works OK. If you were to try to walk or jog or move with it on, the failure rate would be 100%. Also, these are made of super cheap materials. The plastics used are cr@ppy, thin and flimsy. And the one I received did not close all the way on the left side, ajar about 1/8" - the cheap plastic not holding its shape well enough to keep straight. What a shame! Years ago I had a Supersonic CD/MP3 player that worked great and lasted a good 6 or 7 years, and was cheap to boot. Nowadays, finding a good one (or hell, one that even works) - of any brand - has become an impossible quest.

It works ok.
I think it it alright for the price. It works fine. It feels a little flimsy but I am not ruff with music players. I just wanted something to test the compact discs that I made on my computer before taking them out to the car to store and to listen to audio books that I have on compact disc and it does the job. It is difficult to find a compact disc player now that there are so few available.

fits my needs
I bought an mp3cd but it needed a special player and this mp3cd player fit my needs with a very reasonable cost and I am happy with it.

fairly good
I got this unit, hoping it would be better than the last one I purchased and it seems to do well. It leaves a little bit to be desired, but it does work
