Fluidmaster PROCP002 - Fully Height Adjustable & Flush Valve with Chrome Botton - Universal Cistern Pack - Fixings Included

I had retrofitted a Fluidmaster system to an old Twyfords toilet over 20 years ago - the ‘flap’ system. It had served well but needed replacing. This is an even better system, with stronger components, dual flush system and simpler to fit. It all installed really simply using the supplied instructions, and the watertight seals created by the quality parts meant no additional sealants needed. It works really well and is quiet, and fits well even into an old very early close-coupled toilet. Really pleased.

The Fluidmaster was selected to replace a failing cistern valve and flush. I was disappointed with having to replace it as it was only 4 years old, however this was chosen as the destined replacement make. After reading the reviews, the Fluidmaster appears to fulfil all that I needed from a new Valve and quick/dual Flush. Reading the instructions were straight forward enough and having replaced others in the past, I got stuck into the job. Now here is the point of warning. The original cistern pipe size, being replaced was 2" from cistern reducing to 1 1/2". into the toilet flush. So I needed a piece of pipe sufficient for this job. This was now a 1 1/2"pipe. from cistern to toilet flush. I struggled to find a kit part for the small piece of pipe needed, I bought a 3 foot piece and cut it to size. I also then needed a 1 1/2" pipe kit, to secure the pipe with a seal to the cistern nut and collar for the toilet. It was all cut fitted and done and now, complete. The flush is super fast and fills in about 10/15 seconds. The dual flush facility is great for water saving. Buy this unit for price and build quality, but be aware its not a ten minute fix for some. Contained everything i needed to replace a faulty flush valve, and while I was at it replace the inlet valve. Included the donut and all the fittings, so no last minute run to the DIY Store. Good build quality and time will tell but seems like it will last.

I used this to replace an old toilet flush system which had worn out and refused to flush. It was easy to fit, well made and works perfectly.
