Garmin 200-kHz and 50-kHz Transom Mount Transducer Kit-15-Degree Beamwidth

Hook right up to Garmin GPS441s

I replaced the existing transponder (same model) on the boat. The previous transponder wires had become frayed after 14 years of salt water. Reused the existing mounting bracket, reran the cable, plugged in, worked like a charm.

This was purchased to replace the original transducer that came with my Garmin GPSMAP 441S. I didn't properly tie the boat down in the slip,..and with the rocking action,..the transducer was sandwiched between the pontoon and the piling, snapping it off the mount. Now, as I mentioned it was mounted on a pontoon boat,...so this secenrio may not be of any significance on a typical hull boat since it's normally mounted along the center of the transom.The mount can obviously take some damage as it was unscathed,...but the transducer's mounting locations are pretty thin and flimsy. Now, my old transducer still works, so it can obviously take a beating. I just need to find a way to mount it, since the connection points are broken.

This was the exact replacement for a transducer I installed 14 years ago.Hope to get another 14 years out of this one.

Installed well and seems to work fine. Had same model that was installed in the bilge but it didn't work all the time and didn't give accurate water temps. Installed this one on the transom.

On the Garmin website they want $89.00 for this product so the value here at Amazon is awesome. Thought that I would have to pay alot of money when this broke on my boat but once again the power of the internet has saved me. The product does exactly as it is described and functions without having to buy any additional products if you already own a compatible Garmin GPS/Fishfinder unit. The Garmin 178C is the GPS/Fishfinder that is use this transducer for in my boat.

This transducer worked perfectly for my old (circa 2000) Garmin Fishfinder160. The signal of the old original transducer got weaker and weaker to the point where it could not read the bottom. The clicking sound in the transducer stopped. I attached this updated transducer to the brackets on the hull of the boat, screwed the cable end onto the cable from the fishfinder, turned the power on, and the result, a perfect signal and read-out. Now, if I could only catch the fish displayed on the screen.
