I bought this for my 2.5 year old because I bought her a set of other Maisy books which she loves and these board books are pictured in the back. She was particularly drawn to this one so I bought it. I would say it's for a younger age group as it has fewer words than the paper books she has. Also, the farm scene is a little irritating with cut out paper figures that stand against a backdrop attached to the book. There is nowhere to store these figures and no way of separating the farm scene from the book without breaking it and removing the last page. It actually would have been better just as a book. Shame really, I could see my daughter was a little underwhelmed. She prefers the paper Maisy books.

We love Maisy books in our house. So why 3 stars? The story is OK and the number of items we can point to and name is excellent. But the pop out shop is poorly designed.You will make the shop once then lose the bits over the next few days. Good idea badly executed. They should have put in a "pocket" to store the bits.It's a shame
