It is true this board has serious issues.The issue is more with the chip and the architecture as a whole. The TXB0104 is really meant to drive low capacitance loads. Once we, as the user, add some pins, add cables or wires and so forth to get down to the target, we have messed up with the electronic environment this chip is meant to work with.What happens is there are one-shots that set up the direction of the drivers and with these high capacitance, long lines and cables, it messes the drivers and they oscillate, one direction to the other. That is why the noise has such a high amplitude and frequency.One thing that is unacceptable, regardless of the design and the chip mentioned above, was the packaging. This kind of product should be packages in an ESD bag at the minimum.
