The cotton roll is 12 in. wide and 6ft. in length.

Q: Is this really one pounds worth?

I don't know if it's 1lb. but there are 12 rolls and the cotton is very soft. If there is a store called 'Tractor Supply' near you they (at least used to ) sell individual rolls of Dukal cotton.

Well, if I remember correctly it was at least 5 feet long. I used it last Christmas to make snow so it's been while, but there was a lot of it!

Q: Can this be pulled apart to make fluffy clouds for a table? Or is it more like a sheet that cannot be fluffed? Yes, strange question.

It can be pulled apart, but I kept mine as a sheet for wrapping delicate items that will be boxed and protected even more with bubble wrap before being mailed. I would suggest you use cotton balls for making fluffy clouds.
