Clear Pet Window Sill Protector - Guards Against Dog Claws (35.5 inch Long x 5.25 inch DEEP)

My dog scratches at the window sill since he sees dogs pass by. I originally bought the thin scratch film that sticks and regret it. He scratched through it easily and made marks underneath. I wish I bought this instead. This product velcros on and he scratches the plastic instead of my wood. You will eventually need to replace the Velcro but that is better than damaged wood! Make sure to take measurements so you cover the window space correctly

So far so good. No more scratches. My dog and cat both are not damaging the window. I did not use the Velcro fasteners as they will likely damage the paint after intense sun. But I have a cat tree pushed against it so it won’t move.I wish a much deeper size was offered. I have 3 windows that need a 9 inch depth. My cat is killing those windows. A window behind my kitchen sink needs a 4 inch depth. I’d love to prevent it from water splashes.

Sill is now covered securely, remains in place with two dogs using it at the same time. Clear material blends in so well , you wouldn’t know it’s there. Glad we have prevented window sill damage from our dogs. Great product.

Arrived today and was straight forward on the ease of placing this in our clear finished-old redwood sill. Wife likes to place her house plants on the sills during the day where they receive northern light. The plastic is highly reflective and hides the color and grain of the wood sill and gives the wood a plastic look- Not something I like but the wife is OK with it ( smile ) The ONE thing I think could be improved is being the standard non-custom sill protectors come in set dimensions the cutting jig should allow for a much more finished edge. A softer edge -as the edges on the right angles are sharp enough to cut a hand and the edges along the flat length sides are also rather sharp. IF anyone gets my drift- the seller or buyers might need to hear my thoughts on this. Filing them is not a good option Love the protection !

Realized our new window sills needed protection after updating our home.I have 3 dogs who like to peek out the windows, and noticed they were already starting to scratch up my new window sills.Didn't know there was anything out there to protect a sill, but found these on AMZ and ordered one per window.Installed easily; put each cover in the center of each sill, so there are areas on each side that isn't covered - the sizes weren't an exact match. No matter because the dogs always peek out in the center of each window - not the sides.So far they have held up - which I am hoping for because they are not cheap.One con - the depth isn't an exact match either - the protection isn't deep enough to reach the actual bottom of the window, so I will probably buy a piece of cork to use as a bumper.Bonus: the Velcro makes it easy to release the sill protection so I can wash the sill/ plastic protection and repair the slight scratches the pups put in before I covered them with these protective covers.Now I have to get a few more for the news sills downstairs to protect them from the cat...

Ordered this because either my son or my dog was chewing on the window sill. It fit on perfect and was easy to install. You cant even tell that it is on the window sill.

Got this for my son’s bedroom. His window sill is pretty deep and has become the perfect perch for our two cats. Now add fresh paint and a 6month old American Akita to the mix, and I needed to protect the sill.I purposely bought in a size larger than my window with the intention of having it cut down to size. My dad came over and used a cutter and a sanding dremel because he forgot the dremel attachment at home. It worked well enough and it was able to be cut to size pretty easily.
