Not heat resistand enopugh for my tasks
These are the third brand of gloves I am returning. These are better than the cheaper brands which were all but useless despite their claims of being welders gloves etc. These were better, but I still can't lift an empty cast iron casserole pot from my oven at a mere 200 deg C without the heat coming through hot and fast to my fingers. For bread baking that pot needs to be 250 deg C - no way will these stop me getting finger burns at that temperature. They would make a decent heat shield for a BBQ as long as you don't need to lift or move any racks or cast iron objects from it.

Strong, durable and user friendly.
These gloves seem to be top quality. I have checked all the seams and edging. It is immaculate. Piping on the seams to give them extra strength. There is a good amount of extra strength and protection on the inner thumb and palm. They feel good to wear. A good balance of protection without being clumsy. They also have a good length up the arm.Perfect for me and a bit of amateur welding. Strong, durable and user friendly.

Perfect for working around hot coals.
I bought these primarily for the BBQ. I use a coal starter chimney and tipping coals into my BBQ (where the coal shelf is quite deep) is a bit hazardous with sparks and hot coals dropping from a slight height. These gloves fit the bill perfectly. They are comfortable to wear and slip on and off easily, yet stay snug to your hands while in use. The length of the gloves protects up to my elbow. Far better than the generic builders' gloves I was using before! The heat resistance is as described. While wearing these gloves I can add and remove the grill over hot coals, lean on the the grill while its in use and even pick up red hot coals without feeling any heat.I only knocked off a star because although the gloves are heat resistant, the surface fabric does get damaged under extreme heat. The material feels a little like suede and after picking up a hot coal, although my hands were protected, there are small smooth melted spots on the surface where the coal has damaged the material. There's no indiciation that a hot coal would burn through the glove but doing this too often would make the gloves look a little tatty.Overall a great purchase. I would recommend them and would happily buy another pair myself. The trade off with them looking quite smart is that they will quickly look tarnished when repeatedly exposed to naked flame or hot coals.

Tough yet comfortable. Good quality item.
I ordered these for clearing brambles and thistles out of my garden so I can't really comment on heat resistance. However, they are REALLY resiliant and thick. They are really comfortable too. Only negative is that there is only one size - which is big. However this posed no issue and they have been invaluable yesterday, I couldn't have managed without them.Happy to recommend.

Well made gloves
I got these for hubby as he won't stop fiddling with the wood burner. I have lost count the amount of times he has knocked bits out the fire and burnt our wood floor, this way he can put the gloves on and if anything drops out he can throw it quickly back in, which he has done now on several occasions. The gloves are a comfortable fit and well made and would make a nice gift for someone with an open fire or wood burner.

Really good gloves, well guantlets
really impressed, good thickness (sharp Brambles I've hardly felt), soft lining (nice cotton feel), other half likes them, and although not tried them for welding reminds me of the good quality gauntlets I've used before for it, so I would recommend the product. As the seller goes, as I've had know issue with the product, then I've no qualms with the seller. good product, instantly dispatched and reasonable price.

Not that heat resistant.
Heat resistance is no where near what is claimed. I was working with a piece at about 250c and it was too hot to handle for more than a few seconds. Asside from that gloves are comfy and seem well made.

Ideal for any hot handed work
I’ve used these gloves for soldering pipework, putting coal on the fire and welding some light metal for patching and they have not even singed. They can certainly stand up to heat.
