Great For Stormtrooper Armor
The Stormtrooper on the right is using this mannequin. Boba Fett on the left is using a different $250 plastic mannequin.I'm very impressed with this mannequin for Stormtrooper armor. It also looks more natural in pose than my Boba Fett mannequin.I don't trust the hands to hold a blaster on the TK Products mannequin even with the wiring in the fingers. This product is compatible with RS Propmasters Stormtrooper armor.I was worried the bar wouldn't let me close the torso of the armor. Luckily, the mannequin is so skinny it closes fairly easily even with the bar underneath the armor. There is a lot of thigh gap between the thigh armor and the mannequin though since its proportions are a little odd compared to my body. The mannequin has very skinny thighs and I have very big thighs. However, I think this is a great solution and from the front looks amazing! The bar in the back doesn't let me close the butt plate to the crotch plate underneath with the elastic and button snap I have there, however, it's not important for the overall look of the mannequin.TLDR: This is a fantastic mannequin for Stormtrooper armor!

Does the job and doesn't talk back
Exactly what I required. Yes, it is a tall and thin. Yes, you do have to glue or tie the stand to the mannequin if your want it to stay in there. But it stands up very well and works wonderfully for displaying a costume in a parade. I stood it on the console of my truck with the body sticking up through the sunroof. You can pinch the legs by partially closing the roof and it is rock-solid. I will also use it as a sewing dummy . The head fits and suits the body just fine. Not sure if the head is a little small; hair and features (ears, nose, lips, eyebrows) make our own heads seem much larger than they truly are. You really can't do better for the price. The mfg was very helpful in answering my questions (they also sell this in white and gray, male or female).

Great with minor improvements.
This is the best mannequin style for cosplay armor. Unless you have a onesie, you should be able to get most cloths on.I am a male on the shorter side so I got the female and you can't tell at all when the cosplay armor is on.My only issue is the fingers. They are too short to be able to pose or hold a glove stiffly. My work around was to stuff the glove tips, but then you can't really pose them. There are plenty of other ways I can imagine to fix it, like bendable florist wires, and I might try that some other time.Still highly recommended

Best thing I can say is that I'm buying another one!
Way better than the all-plastic mannequin I also purchased through Amazon. I really liked that the legs are already molded into the torso. With this product, I didn't have to glue the legs, arms, and head onto the body to ensure it all stayed together. After putting a pirate-theme costume on it, the final product is solid and looks like it is an actual person rather than a mannequin. We'll let the trick-or-treaters this Halloween decide for themselves! (EDIT) Halloween 2016 has come and gone. I made two pirates using this mannequin. There were also commercially-made pirate characters within the large display, as well. The two made with this product were voted the best-looking characters. Understanding how easy it is to create characters with this mannequin, I opted to build some new aliens using this product. When it comes down to it, if you can dress yourself, you can dress these things as well. The two new aliens are nearly 7' tall (I tweaked the height by manipulating the boot placement). I added the pic with the third alien as a size reference. He is but 4' tall. Maybe a bit pricey when you add in shipping costs, but whatever you create will last indefinitely with prudent care and display. I don't use the included stand because it is kind of a giveaway. Thin steel posts anchored in the ground keeps them vertical without telling the world its just a 'dummy'.

Great product and company
I have purchased 2 of these mannequins. They are well worth the cost. They are easy to put together and very well made. One of them came with the wrong base the company responded immediately and sent a new one it came within a few days. They stand by their product

Not for use with armor.
This is a fantastic mannequin for cloths. This is not a good mannequin to display authentic medieval armor. The arms fall off to easy with minimal weight. The base is not heavy or large enough. The waist is almost none existent which makes hanging items to include armored pants impossible. The single largest short falls is the very light weight aluminum bar that attaches the mannequin to the stand. The mechanisium used to adjust the height is not strong enough and fails under weight All of these things I have figured out how to deal with except the head. Once I put the helm on the entire piece leans back the head actually bends backward.

Great for Theater Companies and Costume Designers!
We donated this to one of our favorite Theater Companies. This was their review and they asked me to post it.We have found many uses for the foam dress form / mannequin we’re using at Chautauqua Playhouse. The chief attributes are the light weight and flexibility of the body. It combines the elements of a dress form with a body dummy, but is much more flexible. We have found that we can add to the form by pinning additional foam or material to the various body parts to better fit the actor’s body. Once the basic fitting for the costume is done, additional adjustments can be done without keeping the actors. Because of the flexibility it’s easy to dress. The ability to move the arms and legs into various dramatic positions is very helpful for our purposes. Gloves and shoes really help bring the foam “character” to life. Because it is so light weight we can also take the dummy off the stand and hang it. We are currently using it for costume display in the lobby. As we open new shows, the costume with an added mask and a wig or hat, helps capture the period and mood of that particular play. We’re very happy with this new member of the “cast”.SALINA DIANECostume designerChautauqua Playhouse
