Since we liked it so much we ordered a second one
UPDATE TO REVIEW:We had purchased one of these earlier in 2015, and liked it so much that we ordered a second one. The second one was trouble from the start (different smaller box, no manual, wrong charger, and scanner was covered in dust/grime). We didn't think too much of it at the time. But after a couple months of very light use (the second one being for our other building which sees less traffic) the scanner stopped working (the trigger wouldn't "click" and therefore no red line scanner was being put out). So we realized we must have gotten an old stock or returned item by mistake. It only took one email to TEEMI support, and we were given a replacement, free of charge without needing to send the old one back. It arrived quickly, and was just like the first one we got (good packaging, with manual, not dirty). Has been working fine right out of the box. We'll see if they both still continue to work well for the long haul, but really impressed with TEEMI's customer support. For reference we use one of these with a desktop computer using the included blutooth adapter, and one we use with an iPad. Only complaint is with the iPad, Bluetooth has to be reconnected manually each time the scanner turns off while the computer using the Bluetooth adapter connects right back automatically (that might be fixable with messing with the settings, we haven't explored that issue yet). Otherwise very happy with both scanners.Original review:We have not been using these very long, but we ordered one and it worked really well, exactly as we needed it to for use with an iPad using Filemaker Pro 12. Since we liked it so much we ordered a second one. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the second order didn't go quite as well as the first. The second scanner came in a smaller box despite being the same model from the same seller, and was dirty, missing instructions and missing the wall adapter. However Amazon.com was very prompt in fixing the issue to our satisfaction. So the product itself has been working quite well so far. A little tough to get paired but once paired, good to go. Packaging leaves a little to be desired but the product has been working well so far. Hope it works for the long haul, as we'll likely get more of these as we expand so long as they continue to hold up.

HAPPY FIRST TIME BAR CODER
I must admit, I was a little befuddled as to how this was going to work when I ordered it but I felt it could help me with my inventory on my home business. I've never had a hand scanner scanner before so this was new. There is no software that comes with the scanner because you don't need it. What I've learned using it is it is a very simple device which performs a simple function, it reads bar codes and transfers the data to whatever text box you have open on your computer. For me, I have a website with a point of sale portal. I have all the bar codes for my products scanned into my product descriptions. When I am making a sale, I scan the barcode and the product immediately pops up to be added to the cart. This is a huge time save for me and my customers as I no longer need to look up the price of each item. In addition, I also sell several bulk products which have no barcode. No problem, I found a barcode generator online. I just type in my product number and it generates a barcode. I keep a book of these barcodes just like they have at the hardware store. I just scan the barcode for the bulk item and ring it up. Too easy. Overall, I am very pleased with this small investment for my small business. The barcode reader is very quick and responsive. The only thing I suggest with this unit is to think about its operation in simple terms. Think about it as a quick way to enter text or numbers into a search box and it will make quick and easy sense.

Good Scanner. Setup was extremely funky on OS X. Great for FileMaker Go!
It's not a Symbol scanner, but it's a third the price, too. Build quality seems to be good.Difficult to setup on OS X, El Capitan because the computer asked for the Bluetooth Pairing PIN FROM the device instead of providing a code TO the scanner like the manual stated. The code is 10010 as stated in the Android instructions. It finally popped up the "pair from the keyboard" dialog after I connected it to my Nexus 6, then reconnected to the Mac. I've been unable to get it to use hardwired to the Mac since I need to print barcodes for z and / since it constantly asks me to press those keys.I recommend finding the full sized manual and printing out the numbers from Appendix I and any other page that has the "Exit without saving" barcode if you'll be switching back and forth. It paired with my Nexus 6 and iPhone 5 just fine. You should be aware that while a Mac or a PC (I assume, haven't tested) is just fine with having two keyboards connected, iOS is not. You'll either use your scanner or your keyboard. I don't know if this holds true on Android since I didn't test it, but I did get a notification about a "physical keyboard being attached" so that might be the case, too. This is a function of the operating system, not the scanner.UPDATE: After a few months of use, I can say this is a useful tool at a good price.I needed to change the scanning suffix to TAB instead of ENTER. I'd been using a manual that I found online that was in full Letter sized pages. That one does NOT have the TAB code. The included instruction sheet does have it. (The code is 1340590235, btw.) Seems to work very well for FileMaker Go.

Great unit, built well and works when you need it.
This unit works very well. Right out of the box it was working very well. Construction of the unit excellent. One can program setting by using the included bar code sheet. For my purposes it was fine the way it was. Haven't tried it wireless with the included bluetooth adapter yet as I don't have the use for it yet. It scan bar code without any problems. Right out of the box if I walked around and scanned bar codes with the unit not connected to a computer. When I returned and connected the unit to a computer, it push out all the bar code scans. The laser is a nice thin beam. Would have no problems in recommended this unit for home use and such.

Terrific out of the box
Terrific out of the box. Long battery life and very responsive. Cord given long enough to use the unit attached.Only issue is the short standby time when wireless. Makes it so bluetooth connection must be reestablished before our POS system picks up input.
