Review of this unit and 3 other FM / SD / portable / Bluetooth speakers on Amazon.
First off, I want to say I did NOT receive any item for review. I just like to leave reviews because that is what I base MY purchases off of, so I am giving back. This is really a review on 4 of the top rated bluetooth, FM Radio and SD (tf) Card portable radios. You may do better with another unit IF you do not need the FM, portable or SD Card. All performed well with bluetooth connection. I will rank each radio listed and pictured based on a one to ten in EACH category, then overall. Something to keep in mind, all battery time listed on any site is false, unless you listen to it on a level 2? I listed REAL battery times on a loudish 80% volume. All unites reviews are in the $30 price range::::(((Wireless Speaker by Simpowel, THIS LISTING)))Sound quality = 8.5FM reception and ease of use = 8, LED in grill.SD Card (all micro) = 7, no shuffle modePortability = 7, not a pocket unit.Battery time, change capability = 8, can use replaceable 18650 cheap and good 2500mah. Runs 5 hours on 80% level.Overall = 8, Displays the station you are on and volume in LED grill unit. See pic. Overall, the best combo of all featured, champion of none.(((Avantree 3-in-1)))Sound quality = 6FM reception and ease of use = 10, no need for a cord and picks up my hardest station.SD Card (all micro) = 10, only unit I have EVER found to shuffle SD Songs. Must get a 2nd battery unless you use headphones, in ear.Overall = 8, If you're looking for personal sound with real FM and SD capabilities, get this one.(((Antimi Bluetooth Speaker)))Sound quality = 7.5, for the size. Does very well for a small unit.FM reception and ease of use = 6, several station do not come in without plugging the cord in. LOVE this lil' thing! Hope they make a HQ one in the future!
I love this lil' guy so much it's CRAZY. Everyone else has covered all the features and things it does so I'll try to keep it original:1) the blue one is NOT neon-fluorescent turquoise (as my computer monitor seems to show), it's a royal blue and NOT neon. It has a rubber coating and the blue rubber was dirty and I was a little shocked at this when I got it out of the box but it cleaned up nice and the rubber sort of "adjusted" to life outside and it has stayed really nice looking!2) Sounded great to me, it excels at classical, pops and instrumental. Rock is ok. For rock, I test all audio equipment out with "Crash Course in Brain Surgery" by Metallica because of the edgy bass guitar and pristine sounds of the instruments, and the heaviness of the general sound and great vocals. I have two iPods and one sounded great but the other didn't, it made the speaker sound cheap. I looked closer at the iPod and found the eq for music was set wrong - so guys if you're getting a crummy sound it could be your iPod - be sure to check your iPod > Settings > Music and make sure it's not set on something wrong. Easy fix.3) WOW you don't need a card reader - just a card! It has a built in card writer! It comes with a cable so you can plug the unit into your computer and fill your sound card up with songs right on the spot - so if you're going to buy this, don't buy a card reader with it - you don't need to!4) WHOA the difference of charge time > play time is INSANE! It charges up in like an hour and plays for something like 10 hours - are you kidding me?!5) The British sounding voice that talks to you is delightful.I really hope this company succeeds because if they come out with something that sounds as good as the TDK A34, I'm all over it, and they are going to kill the competition because NO ONE has all the features this one does! Replaceable battery! Sound card slot! Card Writer! On board controls! One other suggestion I have for the company along with an HQ version is maybe a remote control so you can control, say, volume for aux input items and iPods that are crippled and/or don't have very good navigation. I have a damaged iPod and it's very hard to use with my hands and too expensive to fix so I got a new one instead - and found myself still using the broken one too.Awesome.

seems like a solid speaker
seems like a solid speaker. felt pretty heavy which was surprising.it puts out quite a bit of sound for its size (bass is slighty lacking, but it was $50 and tiny i'm not expecting a miracle). i've had the creative labs d200 which has much punchier bass and apt-x and just better audio quality overall, but for this price and size and portability this is pretty good.bluetooth can cut out if you are far away from it, so its bluetooth is not the best but works. doesn't seem to have apt-x or anything so the bluetooth audio quality is not as good as the aux.i do LOVE that it has replaceable standard type batteries which was a huge reason why i bought it. i hate the idea of non replaceable batteries and the disposable nature of electronics these days, people will be throwing perfectly good speakers / ipods / cellphones in the future just because the battery cant be replaced. and with something like a speaker, its not like audio gets obsolete. at least i can understand the rationale with things like iphones or laptops a tiny bit more.overall really good speaker for the money.
