Great Read
This is just what schools need so that problem behaviors aren't repeated! PBIS is great in theory; however, it often teaches students to behave simply because they will be rewarded for it. This book helps create a culture of accountability that every student is a part of, not a way to force compliance.

This may be the most importtant book a teacher can read...
Having worked in a variety of school types over the last 16 or so years--large public school, medium-sized private parochial school, small independent progressive school--I have experienced the anguish and time and thought that is always put into developing a discipline policy--and still it almost never seems to be exactly what we want it to be. This book puts a lot of what teachers and admin lose sleep over into perspective and offers useful ideas and strategies. Highly recommeded!

Not what I was looking for.
Mare about conflict resolution than classroom management. Good for classrooms that cost a specific dynamic, but not a general guide to controlling a classroom.

Another home run!
I love the Hack Learning Series and was excited to see this new title. My school has been implementing both community building circles and restorative circles this year and this book has some practical ideas to help us make both of them even stronger. The strategies in the book fit perfectly with our PBIS framework and focus on growth mindset. I always look forward to seeing what Hack Learning will come out with next and it always seems to be just the right topic.

Extremely practical and a fast read
This book was incredibly helpful. I teach middle school, and only bought it because it was an Amazon recommendation. We have been transitioning from traditional discipline to a system that emphasizes rebuilding the relationship after misbehavior. This book has nine chapters, each of which details extremely practical things you can actually do right away. While the scenarios are very specific, they also are ones that any teacher would recognize. I liked the book so much, l lent it to our school counselor who then passed it on to our vice principal. We all think it should be required reading for everyone in our school.

No Nonsense Approach!
It's a fabulous no nonsense way of creating the culture of restorative justice throughout your school. I plan on using this book as a jumping off point for our entire staff. It works in concert with our PBIS. Restorative justice just makes sense to me as an educator - building relationships, repairing those relationships when needed - it's what makes it all work! #HackingSchoolDiscipline

Must read for educators!
If you want to know how to create a culture where students learn from their mistakes, hold one another accountable, and develop empathy, read this. It’s very teacher friendly and has the specific “how-tos” educators want. Love it!

Must have for all educators!
This book exceeded my already high expectations! It provides not only the theoretical framework for restorative practices, but concrete data, examples, and tools of how to implement these strategies in school. I've shared it with my admin, and it's being ordered for a bunch of other teachers! Thanks so much for publishing this must-have addition to any teacher, counselor, educator, etc library.

Super practical!
This book is easy to read with very practical applications that a teacher can put in place immediately and the school can implement and embed long-term. The authors have done a great job at writing a book for all educators displaying their experience in real schools.
