Cat meow sound was excellent.I hid it in a cabinet near the fireplace and wrapped a small towel around it to reduce the sound.Wife said there was a small cat stuck somewhere in the wall or behind the fireplace.After a few hours I had to give in. She wanted to cut a hole in the wall to rescue it.The couch was not too uncomfortable for a couple of nights.NO instructions included or described on the website.I learned to push and hold the small button for 2-3 seconds to turn it on and off from other reviews.

If you are the office prankster, these are for you. I’ve had this only one day now and I laughed so much in the office today that my cheeks are hurting this evening. It becomes obvious pretty quick that people know it is an electronic meow, but the best part is watching them try and locate it and figure out who is behind it. Since it goes off at random times, just about the time everyone gets tired of searching for it and goes back to their desk, it goes off again, and they are back at it! The search is on! Side note: make sure your boss has a sense of humor, or if not, hide it on the way out the door after being let go!!!

Hilarious prank, very funny!!

I was happy to receive my Amazon package while at work and on a lunch break. I was pretty disappointed when I first tried the product as it did not work. Per the instructions, you are supposed to hold the button down for 2 seconds then hear a meow letting you know it is on. I held the button and.... nothing. I pressed the button and released and ..... nothing. I held the button for longer than two seconds and .... nothing. I tossed it back in the package and in the Amazon box to return it. I also bought the cricket which had different instructions and worked. After verifying the cricket worked I started fiddling with the meow-er again. I remembered some reviews talking about a magnet (which is probably just the tiny speaker's magnet). Only metal I had was a screwdriver, and yep, their was magnetic pull. I pressed and released the button one more time and it let out a small electronic "crunch" noise, then a single meow.Well, it works. The instructions forget to mention that one meow is on. The cat fight meow is off.It is completely sealed and designed to be thrown out when the battery dies. When it does I will cut it open to replace - it's probably soldered.It would be MUCH better w/o the cat fight meow. One meow for on, double meow for off. Even though the cat fight meow is too loud, good placement makes the difference. The timing between meows is perfect. Going to be a lot of fun!

This was a great little product. It was so much fun to hide in co-workers office! Its not to loud and not to soft. It worked just as it said it would. I would totally recommend this product!

I bought this because our GS Pointer puppy is extremely active and needs things to keep her mind busy. I had read about devices like this fooling dogs into searching for the source of the sound, and thus exercising their overly active minds and bringing about a calm state.Either I have the smartest dogs in the world (Chihuahua, Golden Retriever, German Shorthaired Pointer), or the sound generated by this product isn't convincing enough. None of them were fooled even a little bit. Except for maybe a head turn the first time it went off, there was no interest. After the first time, the only one annoyed was me. The dogs didn't care. I tend to think it's the lack of sound authenticity. I was not convinced it was actually a cat. Maybe I'm biased since I have the advantage of knowing the truth. I didn't test it against humans who did not know I had this. If I do have that opportunity and it fools them sufficiently, I'll change my review.I have not used it long enough to know about battery life. I did not try to stick it to anything, so I have no idea about the quality if the adhesive.

It was not loud enough and came already turned on, so maybe the battery was drained ...

My dad is a prankster and loved this.. messed with all his friends and even a waitress at a restaurant .. works good and can control manually or set for 15 minute intervals

It sticks well to the dry surface I used it on. Even after sitting in its package for almost a year it worked for about two days.

The media could not be loaded.  Makes a beep when you push the black button. No meow noises.

Didn't get the reaction I hoped for...it sounds too much like it's coming from a computer. Not realistic at all.

This product sounded nothing like a cat and only worked if you pressed the button each time. Very poor quality.
