Rothco 2 quart Desert Canteen, Woodland Camo

I bought this canteen for my son at the beginning of summer as we would be doing a lot of hiking.This canteen has been dropped, fell out of the car door, kicked across the pavement, bumped into trees, and squished against rocks and it still does not leak.This was definitely a great purchase for the my family. My son has truly enjoyed it and it has helped us get active as a family.

My kid has been going on camp outs lately and wanted a "Jumanji-style" canteen. This was the closest we could find, but he thinks it's awesome and uses it as his water bottle around the house when he's not camping with it. It's lightweight enough to feel cheap, but it's firm enough to be sturdy. We've had it for about a month and it's held up great with daily use. The silvery parts are plastic and I am guessing that will be the first thing to degrade over time. For now, we love it.

This was a gift for my grandson. He absolutely loved it. He likes to go hiking and this is much easier to carry than a water bottle. Besides it looks a lot cooler too. I would highly recommend it.

The inside of the bottle is plastic and seems to be pretty decent but the boarder on the outside is a thin metal and I dropped it once and dented it. Still works good and seals well

The canteen itself seems to be sturdy, the strap on the other hand is not long enough and the plastic buckles on it don't seem to be very sturdy, but for the price I can attached a spare strap I have laying around the house to make this work for what I need. All in all I am happy with the purchase.Well just as I thought the straps on this lasted ONE outing. CHEAP nylon straps rub and ripped while out hiking. I now have to put this inside my pack and it is a pain to stop and open my pack every time I want to take a drink of water. Now I don't feel bad giving this a 3 star rating, when it really should be a 2.

Holds fluids securely. What more do you need?

This is just so cool for kids who hike, bike, explore in the woods. Its easy to fill and easy to clean out and dry. Shoulder strap is perfect for kids or small teen. Wouldn't recommend for adult though due to strap being pretty short.

I bought this for my 4 year old son, he absolutely loves it. He takes it everywhere with him. As an added bonus for us, it doesn't leak when he leaves it laying around. Would recommend this product.
