Great scale
In the last three years or so I have went through to other scales that were supposed to do the same as this one. One was glitchy and hard to use the other one cumbersome and broke. This scale gives me accurate weight and reads the same as the one at my gym. The first time I stepped on it, it DID read four pounds over but I think that is a calibration thing. I stepped off and then back on and my true weigh appeared. It turns on effortlessly and requires no hurdles to jump through to find your measurements. Other scales have to be turned on before you step on them or toe tapped to get started. This scale simply step on and get near instantaneous readout of your weight. Wait about 5 seconds longer and get the BIA readouts. I needed this scale and it came through for me. It helps me measure my body fat, muscle mass and bone density all of which helps me measure my weightlifting progress. On top of that the scale is very attractive from the blue digital display to the black tempered glass to the silver discs which look better than other scales that use metal strips or bars. This scale is by far better then the other two junk ones I bought which cost the same or more. It is easier to use, works faster, and is more modern in appearance. I can tell it is quality built and will last a long time. I just wish I bought it sooner.

Does what I want.
What can I say? It's a scale. As far as weighing things go, I’ve measured it, and it seems to be very accurate. I love the fact that I can just step on it and give an answer. Also, it’s not obvious from the picture but the scale is pretty wide. I liked that a lot too. The numbers are big and bright, so big that I can read them without having my glasses on.As far as all the other measurements go, they’re reasonably accurate based on a caliper test. I’m not expecting perfection because I know how these things work. There’s a built in error because essentially the scale is measuring connectivity at various frequencies and then using a “table” to figure out the numbers. Since the table is based on averages it’ll never be completely accurate, but like I said, is close enough. The reality is if you’re at 30% body fat and it measures 28%, the scale is still pretty much telling you what you need to know. If you’re below around 15%, there’s an athletic mode that you can set so that the numbers will become more accurate. If you know you have a low body fat and you don’t set it properly don’t blame the electronics.I also liked the fact that you can set it to automatically monitor different people based on their weights. Of course, if there are two people using the scale that have effectively the same weight, it’ll get confused. Other than that it’s a great scale.

Stop being GREEDY!
A little life advise to all - THE KEY TO HAPPINESS IS LOW EXPECTATION! I bought this scale because I needed a new one- one to tell me my WEIGHT! So just as long as it told me my weight correctly I would be happy! The price is similar to scales that just tell you JUST your weight. - Get my DRIFT !? Don't expect a scale to do back flips for you!SOOOOOI got the scale in yesterday and guess what- It weighed me CORRECTLY- I'm HAPPY~!As for the other features - I am 5'8' female , 142.8, I workout HARD and often!BODY FAT - 19.2% - ALL test, even those done by a nutritionist have a margin of error thats usually about 3% - The most accurate test is the Hyrostatics Test which will cost you close to $100 each time you get it done. YES this scale gave me an accurate body fat number , knowing my body I would not expect it to be hire then 22% so if anything its reading lower by 3%TBW - 57.9Muscle 35.5Bone - 7lbsI dont know enough about the above numbers in my own body to say if they are accurate or not. I did find the bone reading VERY odd- why is it given in pounds and everything else is percentage ? And 7lbs of bone seems EXTREMELY low- but ya know what- WHO CARES!! It weighed me correctly!I saw a lot of reviews about the battery - UMMMM call the company as that what i will be doing if there is a issue. The scale is very thin and seemingly fragile - dont have your kids jump on it!

6 Month Product review
I've owned this scale for more than six months now so I wont bore you w/ glowing recommendations based on shipping. :-) The batteries that came w/ the unit lasted more me than 6 months and replacements cost $8.99. They could provide a capability for rechargeable batteries. On the weight function - I've found it to be accurate as measured against a spring scale that the Drs. office uses, (ie - when I go to my Dr. I get the same reading within a pound or so). The health algorithms that are programmed into the unit to calculate things like BMI aren't perfect for every body type. Straight BMI in general are somewhat flawed as a strict methodology of health given various body types..but if you can calculate a BMI of ~35 you know you probably need to lose weight. But this is my opinion. In general the built in tools are useful enough though to use as a 'generalized help' to help keep track of your weight and progress to be healthier. Lastly I find the interface and usage easy enough to get through once I read the directions. All in all I recommend this as its a good value for the price.
