The Akubra Snowy River is a pre-creased stockman's hat with a pinched telescope crown and a brim with rolled sides with front and back turned down. This perennial outback style may be worn down low over the face or turned back on the head in typical Australian fashion. The Snowy River features a 4 inch crown and a 3¼ inchwide brim with a raw edge. The fur felt is Imperial Quality from Akubra. The interior is fully lined with reeded roan leather sweatband and bonded leather ornamental band with chin strap hooks set inside the crown for easy attachment of a chin strap . The UPF rating is 50+. Made in Australia.

Well made but darker than pictures!
Very nice, well built hat. I would say it exceeds my Stetson xxxx Buffalo fur felt hats in quality. With a couple exceptions. The color is much darker than pictured the outer hat band is very cheap looking up close. It fits loosely but my Stetson are different sizes, so I find this to be normal in hat sizing.As far as DelMonico goes they kept the original hat box, and shipped this hat in a generic box with very cheaply built insert. But hat arrived in good shape. They say they will send some hat sizing tape for free. Why they don’t just send someone with the hat to begin with I don’t know.

Fits like a glove and utmost quality.
Am a 75 year old Auctioneer and Horseman. I have always wore Stetson 10 x. After seeing an advertisement on Akubra I watched a YouTube video and researched this hat. Have received more great comments on this hat than all the other brands I have worn. LOVE IT!

It was a bit tight.. contacted the supplyer and they sent the next size right out. All is well.

Great hat!
Hate to say it but it is better than my Stetson. Perfect fit, sharp look. Definitely high quality. It is lined. (some reviews stated it wasn't but mine is)

Make sure you select the correct size when ordering!
Delmonico were great at replacing my size 60 with a size 57; Amazon defaults to a 60 so make sure of the size before you offer.Love my hat, solid, classic Australian design.

Order smaller
Hat looks great but the fit leaves something to be desired, even after a return for a smaller size. All my other hats of that size fit well. Vendor as helpful as he could be.

Nice quality fur and materials.
Really nice hat. Akubra gives Stetson a strong run for the money imho. My 2nd Akubra and I have 3 Stetsons.

Too large!
I have an Akubra hat that is listed as size 57. I ordered and received a 57 and it is too large. Disappointed they would change size designations.
