Spider on the Floor (Raffi Songs to Read) Paperback – Picture Book, August 13, 1996

I love to sing this with my grandson.

The very first line of this description (at the time I am writing this review) states "A new Raffi board book to delight the youngest of fans!" Be aware before ordering this book that, unlike the other titles in the Raffi "songs to read" series, this book is NOT a board book. It is a paperback that has larger height and width, but much thinner and fragile pages. This book would not stand up to toddler play. The story and song are fun, but the book itself would have better play value in the format advertised in the description.

love this book I fist stumbled upon it on a YouTubers blog and then I got it for my kids along with some prop fuzzy spiders and boy did they love it! This book is good for intro on learning body parts. It is simple and repetitive

like the body parts teaching part of the storydidn’t like 2 thingsmain sore its says something about I wish i were dead in a section about being scared of the spiderjust my personal feeling that i dont want to read that to my baby toddler over n over like good alive vibesand second just overtly scared of the spider would like if it was more spider friendly but overall its fine

I love this song but have been singing it with no props, except a giant spider puppet, for years. Just sang it with the book for my PreK class and they loved it. The next day they said it was too scary, but wanted to hear it again! Such fun!

This book along with the Raffi music was a favorite in my special education preschool class. I introduced it around Halloween and we would have read it together every day after that if we had the time. By the end of the school year one of my young leaders could pick up this book and read it to a circle of his peers without the music. He had everyone's attention!
