Love, love, love!! I specifically needed these types, and I finally found a package that sells multiple bendy ones. I used them for church, and we use them every Sunday to light our candles. Child safety for sure too!

But they're hard to light. The switch on the lighter is backward from all other lighters I've ever used. Usually you push the switch forward with your thumb, but on these lighters you pull it back with you thumb which is counter-intuitive. And, they won't light unless the lighter is pointed down. They won't light holding it level or pointing up. You have to click it several times to get it to light either way. There are 3 in the pack and they're all the same.

These are easy to use, i.e. for a person to press both buttons together. Some brands, like the BIC Multi-Purpose Lighter , and both types, make it difficult to hold the gas release rocker button down while pressing the trigger to light the flame. IMHO the flexible neck is better than others also. Has more "FLEX!"

I can't speak for how long they'll last as I just got them. I can say they're a good deal as long as you read the instructions. Which I initially didn't because , well, they're just lighters. Then the frustration set in. Once I actually did READ the very simple instructions, they worked fine. Ugh. "Childproof"? How about "foolproof"? This fool sure had difficulty.

I use a chimney to light charcoal for grilling and barbecue. It has holes at the bottom where you light wadded up newspapers to get the briquettes burning. The holes are all around the bottom and the ability to bend the tip makes the job much easier. If you use charcoal, you need these!
