A great product if installed correctly...
The product works great if you install it correctly. That is why I'm writing this review; to help people install it correctly. I did 4 joy cons (2 sets). The tools work fine and did not strip any of the screws, just make sure you don't over tighten them. You only need to make the screws snug. They are not going to come out. Here's the real trick. I noticed that after installing the latches the button on the back of the joy con would stay depressed and not pop back out after pressing it or sliding it on the rail; causing it not to lock and just slide right off the rail. I was about to uninstall all of them and buy plastic ones instead when I realized on the 4th install that if I did not tighten the screw all the way that holds the metal bracket over the latch, it would allow it to move much more freely. Just back off the screw slightly until the latch moves much easier back and forth. this will correct the problem completely and you will have great functioning latches that were better than the original plastic ones.

Leave the latch screw slightly loose.
3 month Update:First one failed. Metal appears to be soft. The OEM plastic lasted longer than these did. Uploaded a photo showing the damaged clip. I didn't even use these much in the last 3 months :(These are great, easy to install, and the provide more than enough tools to get the job done. I wish they provided new springs, but it works great without them!I was about to write a bad review until I read the other reviewer. If you tighten the latch all the way down, it will stick when you depress the release button. Just back off the screw a little bit and it works incredibly well!

Easy fix to a common problem
When my joycon started having issues of sliding out of the console randomly, I started to do research on how to fix this. That's how I stumbled upon this set. I would HIGHLY recommend watching a video before trying this fix. As long as you are able to follow along with a video, this set couldn't make it any easier. The tweasers help immensely with removing the metal bracket which takes a while unless you want to brute force it.Side note, definitely listen to the other reviewers that say to slightly loosen the screw inside the joycon. I had the problem where I'd press the button in and it would stay locked in. However, I reopened the joycon and loosened the screw a quarter turn and now it works perfectly!

Wish it came with spare springs, but it's a great kit!
These worked perfectly and fix the Joycon problem my kids were having on both their Switches where they would slide off without pressing the release button. The kit came with everything you need and even spare screws in case you strip or lose one.One thing is I wish it came with spare springs as well since those are extremely easy to lose while replacing the buckles. (I almost lost one and spent 20 mins searching for it on my carpet and found it with persistence and luck).

Solid lock (if installed correctly). Ten minutes tops.
Install was fairly straight forward. Replacing this piece did solve the issue with joy con falling of main switch body.***IMPORTANT: the pieces have a directionality to them. So make sure the notch on the piece matches the piece you are replacing. See my attached picture as an example (see how the piece that needed to be replaced and the replacement both have a notch shaped like ㄱ. This was for the right joycon). If the notch is not the same way it will not work.Day 1, so I will update if any issues arise.

Ehhh, the one side works I guess
The piece for the left joycon fit OKAY not perfect but u did manage to get it to work but the one for the right joycon doesn’t fit when you tighten down the fastener clip it’ll either not move when you press the button or it won’t grab the track on the switch so I just put the old plastic one on that side. Honestly better off getting the plastic tabs and if they break just replace them again. Screw driver tips were iffy definitely recommend a different tool set.

Fantastic, Just know how to install properly
The media could not be loaded. Its a great product as long as you know how to do it properly, When installing the metal latch into the joycon the spring inside needs to be adjusted to the right angle for the release button not to be hard to press (as seen in my video with the left red joycon) this matters because everytime you wanna deattach the joycons you would have to put more pressure into the button to do so (and sometimes it can stick and make a loud click sound when you release it, also shown in the left red joycon) if you adjust it correctly you will end with a perfect result (right red joycon)

Had every thing I needed
I had to replace the rounder over locking lugs on my joycons. I did this for all 4 of my joycons with ease. The kit had everything I need. I just found a video on Youtube and followed along. The only thing I would say is missing is a spare set of springs, but if you are careful with disassembly and re-assembly (and have a clean work area) you should not lose your original springs. The additional screws were nice to have, but I did not end up needing them.
