I knew when I ordered this flimsy product that I'd have to somehow rig it so it wouldn't right away fall in the gutter under the weight of wet leaves and obstruct my gutter. I had to buy this model because I needed 7" width and couldn't find a stiff screen wider than 6". Luckily I have a flat roof that made it possible to attach this product creatively to prevent sagging. If your situation is different, I don't at all recommend this product despite its low price.

This will probably last longer than 50 years. You do need screws or something to attach to gutters but it works well and is way cheaper than alternative methods.

The thickness of the mesh material is so thin it makes the stiffness of the mesh incapable of staying in place. The mesh material is not stiff enough to be formed (creased) to lay over the gutter edges nor is it stiff enough to exert enough pressure at each edge where it contacts the gutter to keep it from being dislodged or possibly falling into the gutter if enough weight accumulates on it. The mesh material needs to be thicker and stiffer to be effective.

Zip ties this to the back side of the grill on my Toyota to keep bugs from hitting the condenser. Works great and is cheap.

The product is extremely thin and wimpy. I found it impossible to install under the edge of the shingles. it is just too thin and flexible. As soon as I get a piece underneath it pulls out again when I try to push the next few inches in. I have used other plastic guards like this that were much thicker and had no problem other than they were too narrow for my large internal/box gutters. It didn't occur to me to check the thickness!I will use the product to attach to my fence at my pool to keep out frogs.I have no problem with the seller as far as shipping, which was prompt.
