This was a gift for my four year old's birthday. He loves dinosaurs and bugs. This was the perfect gift to make him feel like a real explorer. The kit has everything a kid could want to have endless hours of discoveries. The kit is neatly packaged and every single item is separately boxed. It makes even opening it exciting. The quality is excellent and it is affordably priced. I have five children and when my son opened this the others were all saying "I want one", "Can I play with that". They have all enjoyed this kit and it has been tough enough to with stand them. Also my son is a bigger four year old and he has plenty of room to grow and enjoy the hat and vest.

Our dinosaur loving 5 year old was thrilled to open this gift on his birthday. We bought it for the utility vest but being able to load up with all the accessories was so much fun. He was especially wide eyed when he realized there were a pair of binoculars. The box for the kit was really cute, and inside, each item was boxed too. It was a very nice presentation. It was perfect for opening on a birthday! The vest is big enough for some growing room and it actually fits his older siblings, who all told me that they would like the same thing for their birthdays. The only "bad" thing we found so far is that the pencil holder on the clip board is too loose to actually hold the pencil in place but I probably could look around the house for a different pencil or a pen that would be a better fit. Another nice feature is that it comes with a bag to keep everything together when not in use. It really seems like kit is a good value for the price.

Customer service was top-notch! Although we had some issues with the plastic pieces durability, Dave from customer service was quick to jump in and make it right. That saves the day here. The hat and vest are of good quality and my boys will enjoy them. They also love the binoculars which although are not adjustable focus, they are perfect for their age. All they have to do is hold them up to their eyes and they see a 5x magnified view that's nice and clear. My boys are 3 and 6 and have a real pair of binoculars but never use them because they are heavy and it takes some work to focus...their attention spans are just not there yet so these are perfect.:-) The only thing to watch out for is that the soft eye cups are easily removable so keep an eye on them to make sure they're not lost, hot glue may resolve this issue.

Bought two sets for 7 year old twin girls. The boxes showed up and the look on their faces when putting on the vests and hats were priceless. The clipboards were missing but the girls didn't know anything about it. I emailed the company and they had them to me within just a couple days. Great customer service. I'm taking off one star because they didn't have it but a few hours and the clear ball broke on one of the bug viewers. They were very careful with the stuff and kept it in the bag when not using so I'm thinking it was either defective or just cheaply made. But this set was so worth the enjoyment they have had so far as well as me witnessing it.

I absolutely love this set! I have 8 grandchildren so I have many opportunities to buy gifts. This is a great deal for the $. It all comes packaged in a cute box, then individual boxes inside. The accessories are plastic. The bug catchers are probably not going to last a year but I kind of see them as free bonuses when you consider that this set is just a few dollars more than another offering of just the hat & vest. The other accessories are very well made and I was really surprised at the quality. The vest and hat are a nice quality, not the cheap slippery polyester, not super thick cotton but a nice mid grade that seems like it will hold up. I know my grandson will be thrilled with this gift.

My five year old son was thrilled to receive this kit today. He instantly put on the hat and vest. This product is well made and has a lot of attention to detail. We were surprised with how many gadgets came with this kit for the price. We love how this kit will help him explore and learn. It's a perfect set for our trip next week. We think it will be a great birthday gift for his friends. We look forward to seeing what other products Moody goat comes up with. Thank you you have made a little explorer very happy!

Who knew?! This Explorer Set is such a hit with my grandkids! They all love to play with this! The oldest is five and the youngest is two. The little vest and hat are just adorable. The kids have so much fun pretending. They love it all, and it is so cute watching them with the binoculars and the compass. They have watched shows and have been read books about explorers and adventures, and now they are acting out what they learned about. I highly recommend this set.

My grandson loved all the gadgets, buy the magnifying glass attached to a lid broke at the first use. It can amuse a child that loves nature ans animals, like mine, although I wish it was sturdier.
