Amano Shrimp (Size S) - 10 Pack

I'm providing a Five Star Review based on excellent seller support.I had high expectations based on the many high reviews here.I normally purchase from another seller and decided to try this one out.My first problem is with the package labeling, there are no stickers on the outside of the box that indicates there are LIVE Animals Inside. Other shippers do this so handlers know not to leave them in the sun, or not to toss boxes etc. It did say RUSH on a sticker, but nothing to clue the package handler that they should be kept in shade etc.This was a double order, so the box included two double-bagged shrimp.There should have been 10 live shrimp per bag.One bag had 4 that were still aliveBag two had 5 still alive, so a loss of 11 Amano Shrimp between the two bags.The dead were already orange and appeared to have been dead for some time.I did reach out to the seller and provided feedback, so we'll see what happens.The live shrimp are small, as others have indicated, and I expected that. I did all of the introduction steps, equalizing water temperature, and putting the bags on a drip system so the water was very gradually changed to prevent shock.Those that were alive on arrival are still doing ok. We have no predatory fish in the tank, so they are not going to be eaten.This was a chance to try out another company, but I don't think I'll be a returning customer. LIVE ANIMAL stickers are inexpensive, and can definitely improve shipping and handling for the shrimp.I Do Recommend this seller as they stand by their stock and sales. Five Stars are given based on the seller's quality of customer service. :)

A few shrimp arrived dead and a couple more that night. The ones that have survived are doing great.

All shrimp arrived alive and skuttling about. Packaged well but no live animal stickers.

The shrimp arrived all were alive and healthy. They have thrived in my fish tank.

Truthfully, I had purchased Amanos previously, and didn't have much luck with them; one disappeared as I tried to scoop it into my tank, another did not make it through the first week, and i was left with two lowly shrimp. I decided to give it another go, and was delighted to see that I could get them on Amazon. I mean seriously, is there ANYTHING you CAN'T buy on amazon these days?!In any case, after looking around, and reading reviews of this seller, I figured I would give it a shot. I had purchased some cherry shrimp, but realized that even though they work well as a clean up crew, I know Amanos are much more effective with algae control. Also, I have had to dose my tanks with salt every once in a while when our water source causes issues with nitrite spikes and I work to remedy it. With that, I have been nervous about adding shrimp, but upon hours and hours of research, I found that they would be ok (spoiler- they are doing fine). They do a great job getting the extra food the fishies miss, and cleaning up the algae that grows sporadically. BUT, I do make sure to give them treats of cucumber and zucchini every once in a while, and provide them with shrimp pellets so they have a balanced diet and stay healthy.Now, mind you, my husband has purchased Amanos & blue velvets online in the past. I was expecting a few DOAs since I am in MO, and they are being shipped from WA. The Amanos arrived very quickly, and not only that- they were all alive! I was ecstatic. Even better, they are all healthy and thriving in my tanks. I am so happy with how they are doing, I have just placed another orders so i can add some more to my grow out tank. I honestly don't think I will be going to another seller for Amanos ever again. They are amazing, and I really cannot stress that enough. Will update with pictures as soon as I can get a clear one of the buggers. Highly reccomend

Ordered 20 Amano shrimp. All arrived alive. Noted that the paperwork inside the box states that delayed shipping is "no problem" as the shrimp can survive for 14 days in the box, and that they like the cold. Well, since I live in Tucson, Arizona, the fact that they like the cold is kinda irrelevent. :)Would buy from again.

Got 10 health looking shrimp

The amano shrimp arrived healthy and were moderate sized. They are probably about 1/2 grown but at least the same size that I can get from my local fish store. They arrived healthy. I put them in my > 50 gallon. At the end of the day, 8/10 arrived healthy. I think I was missing one shrimp, and one shrimp did arrive DOA. I followed the seller's warranty instructions that came with the package. You have to make sure to take the package in within 2 hours, take lots of photos prior to opening the package, sending messages promptly, etc. But they refunded me appropriately for the 2/10 that I did not get.
