This is my second one. the first one (Single channel/One Unit use) I've had for many years. you just plug it onto the dock, wait a second and it connects after a couple of seconds. (This one comes with no instructions) You plug it onto the dock, you have to press onto the top center piece to turn on, and it does turn on, but its a little weird. Now, both, old & new most of the time will not connect using my HP Laptop. What that's all about I can't figure out ( all three are Bluetooth compatible) Anyway this works and when working, no issues, just a little confusing to me. I'm not as comfortable with this one as the single channel one. "BUT" what I really like about this one is, if you hold the On/Off top switch it actually turns off without unplugging it.Now the one thing I really Don't like is, the "Voice" prompts. I could barely hear or understand what's being said. And again just might be me. "OVERALL" nothing wrong with using it but I prefer the Single (Original one) Channel one..............Enough said. The wireless range is so great. I can use this device accross my home without interference. I plugged it into my older 30 pin docking station (used for my iPhone 4) and then I streamed music to the docking station from my new iPhone 6 wirelessly. I can also charged the battery in the Bluetooth receiver and then plugged in my wired headphones. It can turn them into a set of wireless headphones. The built in rechargeable battery lasts for up to 5 hours of operation. ( Need to charge the unit with an Apple 30 pin cable or a 30 pin docking station before use if not plugged on 30 pin dock)This is an easy Bluetooth receiver that you can pair with your smart phone and stream music to your stereo systems:1. You old 30 pin Apple docking station2.A boom box with and AUX input3/Car stereo with an AUX input jack4.Your wired headphones5.Home stereo6.Your wired earphonesThere is an LED on the top. When it is red the internal battery is charging. When it is a solid blue the internal battery is fully charged. If the LED is blue and quick flashing then the unit is in the Bluetooth pairing mode. When it is slow flashing blue, Bluetooth has paired to your device.The device has an on/off switch on the top so there is no need to unplug/plug after each use. When pressed the on/off switch to turn on the device, it will auto-connected to the previous paired device (like phone, tablet or computer) if it is within pairable range and if the device still remember it.The unit comes with an auxiliary cable with 3.5 mm stereo jack on each end. The unit can receive music wirelessly and output it through the Aux port if the 30 pin Apple dock is not compatible. This makes the unit a multinational receiver with a lot of applications. I could play my music from over 65 feet away with my tablets and ~45 ft with my cellphones.

THE GOOD: This little gadget rescued my Bose Soundock and my Soundock portable! I was seriously consider to get rid of it as it was harder and harder to enjoy it without it having Bluetooth, nor having the new apple interface. I previously got a Belkin bluetooth adapter that worked 'just fine' but being connected to the aux input required to also have external power, so it was a no-go for the Portable, and it was one more thing connected to the wall. Additionally range was very limited to basically line of sight, without anyone standing in between. With this I can really move around all my first level, go out to the yard, and move around. Love that.THE BAD: Only complaint I have, which is why I don't give it 5 stars, is that it is supposed to allow you to connect two devices simultaneously. That just doesn't work. You can, but the moment you do that, there is interference coming out from it, even if only one of the two is actually sending audio to it. Just the moment you connect the second one, the first one starts going up and down and making noise. So that is a shame. I think they have a cheaper version that has a 'single connection'. If I am right, maybe that would've worked fine and saved me a few bucks.Aside from that glitch, it works well.

I thought I would use this more than it turns out I have. The real disappointment for me was that this doesn't work with the factory-installed ipod accessory that's in my 2006 nissan quest. I was prepared for it to not charge (the nissan adapter only supplies power via the long-obsolete firewire +12v), but it just plain doesn't work. Something funky about how the nissan accessory "recognizes" that there's an ipod plugged in. Consequently, the only places I can use this are with an old logitech PureFi speaker setup, and via the 3.5mm audio jack.The integration through the 30-pin adapter is great, but the output from the 3.5mm audio jack is just like plugging an aux jack into your phone. The real downside is that in order to charge this you HAVE to charge with an old 30-pin cable or adapter. But, let's be serious--if you're considering this because you still have accessories that use the 30 pin adapter, you probably have a few of the 30-pin charging cable too. Still, it's one more thing to keep around, and someday those will be non-existent, too.

This works perfectly on my generation 1 Bose Sound Dock! I had a hard time finding the right bluetooth adapter, but after a few wrong tries, came across this one and it worked. Was very excited to find a solution for my Bose Sounddock - what had become a very expensive and defunct electronic device. Took off 1 star for the following reasons: it only comes in black (I would have preferred white to match my Sounddock), and I don't like the weird female voice that comes out of it when you turn it on/off - she says "Power On", "Pairing" and "Power Off". It's kind of annoying. And you have to turn it off in between uses or she will constantly say "Pairing". Luckily, the seller had included an extra instruction sheet advising of this. But it would be better if it didn't do that.

The device arrived after few days , well packed in original box without any damages. It came together with clearly written user guide and 3.5mm jack double side cable, to use on devices with no 30 pin connector. This 30 pin connector is exactly the same like iPhone 4/4s, so it is suitable for my bose soundock speaker. I am also using it in my car connected with the jack cable. Range of this device is very satisfying, as in my 2 bedroom house I can listen to my music from every place in the house and the speaker is placed in the kitchen. Sound of transmitted music is 100% clear with no cracks etc. Battery last for minimum 20 hours of constant use. You can charge it anywhere with the 30 pin iPhone charger.The only thing is a running microwave, as the speaker is placed on it and while heating food it gets disconnected sometimes,Apart of that I can highly recommend this product good value for very good price. Go for it!!

Funktioniert einwandfrei! Ich habe lange recherchiert, weil es bei de Bluetooth-Adaptern (speziell für die 1. Generation des Bose Sounddock) viele kritische Kommentare und auch große Preisunterschiede gibt. Ich habe den Adapter nun ein paar Wochen im Einsatz (über Sounddock aber auch über Klinke verbunden mit meiner alten Surround-Sound-Anlage) und bin zufrieden. Die Reichweite ist für eine mittelgroße Wohnung in Ordnung und das alle paar Sekunden aufleuchtende blaue Licht, kann man abkleben, wenn es stört.Einzige Mankos: Das verbinden von 2 Geräten hat teilweise zu Störgeräuschen und Ausfällen geführt und das Mikrofon eignet sich auch nur bedingt zum Telefonieren. Beide Funktionen sehe ich aber als Spielerei und brauche sie nicht wirklich.

Brilliant. It works exactly as described and allows me to share music from my iPhone6 with an original Bose sound dock. Bluetooth seems much more reliable than wifi for wireless music.

Funziona perfettamente, il jack in non va in ingresso televisore. Il ricevimento della merce un mese.... forse troppo. Devo trovare qualcosa per inviare sistema boose l'uscita del TV

Semplice da usare, riconoscimento bluetooth immediato, funziona con Bose Sounddockprimo modello ed è quello che mi serviva, trasmissione fluida e senza intoppi.
