Instant and perfect!
I am in the process of restoring a 57 Reissue Strat that someone (not Fender's Custom Shop) tried to "relic" in their garage, or yard, or perhaps just had the kids take a whack at with a belt sander right their in their lil' rooms. That said, I also live in Pittsburgh where humidity and cold...just are. I got the metallic color coat on and started to spray the nitro clear coats. After 4 coats I got several 'milky' areas on it. I wrote an email to the folks that mixed the color coat for me and they gave me the name of this product. I bought it. I wasn't sure about the directions so I emailed the manufacturer....and one of their people called me...same day. This is what they told me:Spray it lightly and very carefully. Too much can run the paint....and in the case of metallic paints it can realign the metal flake in the paint and produce an uneven luster. He repeated 'carefully' several times. I just lightly dusted the finish....and it worked.Put the can in warm water bath (I put it in a 1 gal. freezer bag then submerged it) before using it.....to get the internal temp of the can up.Let the finish dry at least overnight before restarting the clear coating. Also, put it in a warm, well ventilated area to dry. He went so far as to recommend a space heater and a fan.I used the product, and the milky areas cleared up almost instantly....and the Strat body now looks flawless. Absolutely amazing...............................................................................NOTE: I don't think this works on anything but nitrocellulose lacquer.

It works. Bottom line.
If you are an instrument maker or wood finisher who works during humid or cold weather and gets that opaque milky "blush" in patches on your nitrocellulose (or other) finish, you need this. That blush is moisture trapped under the finish as it dries. This product works and it works like magic. What it does is free the moisture and eliminate the blush. I had to wait about two weeks to get mine and it still worked on the blush. I also used it during the same cold conditions that produced the blush and it worked, did not cause more blush. I've bought two cans to have it around when I need it. You still need to let your project 'cure' and you may still need to level sand, but you won't have to sand down and redo your whole finishing job.

The product did not work as described, and it cannot be returned!
The product did not work to remove the milky cloudy finish in my laud (a 12 string instrument similar to a guitar). The product is flammable. It can be shipped to you, but you cannot return it. I would like to know why? This policy sounds like a double standard.

Hmmm. A different brand was sent, which I didn't care about after speaking with the company, but very strong smell even outdoors!👹. Unfortunately, the results were just not good enough. If it were a newer water stain, I think it would have been perfect, but it's got to be at least a40 year old water stain.

I ruined the finish on a beautiful sonic blue Jazzmaster
WARNING FOR GUITAR RESTORERS - Don't make the same mistake I did!! If you're spraying on Nitrocellulose lacquer SPRAY LIGHTLY!! I ruined the finish on a beautiful sonic blue Jazzmaster. I'm sure the product is fantastic. I rushed and didn't do my homework, now I have a body with running melted lacquer. Back to sanding.. ;(

Does exactly what it is supposed to! Worked great and saved me from having to start over on a project!
Not much to say here. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. After not putting down a sealer on a project I ended up with a ton of blushing (even though I live in an arid state). A very light (I'm not kidding VERY light coating) and the blush was completely gone! The one area where I sprayed too much ended up with a bit of over spray, so be very sparing.

A friend recommended a "blush eraser" and I found Behlen's on the ...
My husband put a hot dish with out a pad on the red lacquered surface of a large lazy susan used for a 90 inch diameter dining table. It was a big spot and totally ruined the piece. A friend recommended a "blush eraser" and I found Behlen's on the web. It worked very well. Not perfectly, but certainly a big improvement, and really no one ever notices there is defect.

Excellent Product!
This item works very well! Properly packaged, and shipped, right to my door step. I had water glass, white stains on my night stand, in my bedroom. And within five, ten minutes of applying the spray, the white water glass stains are gone. Read the instructions carefully, it does not take much of the stray to work it's magic. I'm very happy with the results. Kevin Reid
