I am very very happy as I prefer traditional cooking vessels and I was unable to get one. It is much better than non sticks, as you don't have to worry to get teflon layer peeled off and harming your health. In market only nonstick vessels are available everywhere. Also very easy to use. The vessel is little heavy and you need to be careful while using because it gets heated. It is made of real cast iron and gives wonderful appams...thankyou amazon and seller..for making it available..

Quality of pan is good

To be very HONEST,1. After opening it was smelling some oily greasy and some smell(hope it was processed or something to protect rusting)2. I kept on the stove , it was not at all sitting, but being dancing on the stove, due to the surface was not compatible to sit over the stove.3. After keeping on medium fire for 15mins then my kitchen smelled like am in some Industry.4. Then i washed it with some dish bar.5. After washing finally it dried and completely RUST was clearly observed over the entire product.*******Finally i kept it away, WILL NOT USE it , may be some r saying to be seasoned or something, but no use...Keeping it away and will not use it for atleast for ONCE...Thought to go somewhat classy..but Flopped..

Not sit properly on gas stove

The size of the product is much bigger than the regular non stick pans what you get in the stores. It is quite too heavy approx weighing around 3 - 3.5kg. It is too greasy as you can see in the pics attached. The finish is not smooth and looks as if it is thickly spray painted or coated. This is my first cast iron product that I have purchased so really don't know how the original cast iron vessels look and feel like. There comes four original Ikea spoons as free gift. I'll definitely update how it works once I put the pan to use. There is only one flaw after the use it doesn't sit properly on the gas top.

Great pan. Tried to make littis in this and the result was absolutely perfect. Its healthier too. A bit heavy but then its iron so that's okay. A really great product at such a price.Just make sure to take care in its washing. Never scrub too hard as it will rust after drying. Better to apply a bit of oil after the wash before keeping it away. It will stop the rust.

This cast iron appam Patra is really a good one. It's sturdy and quality I believe is great. It could have been great if it had a flat bottom so that It can be placed on the stove with ease. Now I have to adjust it a bit so that it sits properly on the stove. Overall a nice product. Before using the appam for first time do the seasoning thoroughly.
