I am a fan of the Rufus Teague rubs, and use the Chick N' Rub for chicken and pork.
I have used the Rufus Teague rubs for meat and most recently tried the one for chicken. Most people think of using a rub for BBQ, but rubs are also wonderful for use as marinades. I made a whole roasted chicken using this rub. I generously sprinkled the entire chicken with this rub, put it in a baggie, and then in the frig overnight. A couple of hours might have been sufficient, but I generally marinade overnight for more flavor and tenderizing. The roasted chicken was moist and full of flavor. My husband commented on how good it was. This rub is also wonderful when used on pork whether it be pork chops, pork tenderloin, or pork shoulder. The Rufus Teague Rubs are not just for BBQ although they are wonderful for that too. I have tried a number of marinades, but nothing beats the Rufus Teague Rubs for marinating. I have just set up a large Bison sirloin roast that will be cooked by the sous vide method. I generously seasoned it with the Rufus Teague Meat seasoning before sealing it in the bag for sous vide cooking. Not only is the roast tender, juicy, and flavorful, but the juices make a wonderful gravy.I have also used these rubs when pressure cooking. The gravies are so good, I freeze leftover to use later instead of jarred gravy. These gravies are so much better than the jarred stuff, and I know what's in them.Needless to say, I would highly recommend the Rufus Teague rubs for sous vide, roasting, and pressure cooking any meats. Although this is a rub, it is also very good used as a seasoning.UPDATE 06/22/22:Tonight I made chicken brochettes for dinner using cubed raw chicken, onion, and red and green bell pepper. After I cubed the chicken, I put it in a baggie, sprinkled the chicken generously with this rub, sealed the bag a massaged the rub into the chicken, and put it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours until I was ready to make dinner. Then I alternated the chicken, bell pepper, and onions on the skewers until they were full. I grilled them on an indoor electric grill on high for 5 minutes per side. I served them over a mix of cooked brown and wild rice. The chicken was moist and fork tender. These were the best and tastiest chicken brochettes I have ever had.I hope you find this review helpful.

Kids can't get enough chicken!!!
I am by no means an expert on rubs but I love this stuff. First bought the rub when on a trip to Arizona, wanted to try it out. I have 9 year old twin girls and they are picky eaters, always trying something new to see how they react. THEY LOVE THIS RUB. We use it every other week to cook some chicken, thighs, breasts, wings. We have had a few friends over and have used the rub, everyone loves it. Get the best flavor when I use my cast iron, cover the chicken about 30 minutes before cooking and your good to go. Went through the first bottle and just ordered the 2 pack. LOVE IT!!!!!

Love the taste
Fantastic chicken rub. My only complaint was that one of the 2 bottles got damaged in shipping causing the seal under the lid to open up.
