Don't bother with the cheap and cheerful versions of vice grips - unless you are using them as clamps for welding. these are very well made with good machined and hard jaws. Should have bought these years ago instead of faffing around with cheap versions. If you are looking for vice grips - pay up and get these.

Seem like good quality. They aren’t aligned right though, the handles are twisted in opposite ways. That being said, I haven’t used them yet, as long as the metal is strong it shouldn’t be much of an issue.

After struggling without success to remove cut flooring brads from floorboards using a Bahco nail remover, I had a eureka moment. Using a 7mm metal drill bit (slightly wider than the jaw tips) I drilled a hole 6mm deep either side of the brad, then clamped the tips of the long nosed locking pliers onto the brad, then with a bit of twisting and pulling out it came. The holes in the board can easily be repaired using two-part polyester wood filler afterwards.
