Grass Run Farms 100% Grass Fed Beef Sticks, Original, 1 Ounce (Pack of 24)

This is my third order and these are now 1inch shorter than the original box. I'm sorry but I will be finding a new brand of this is the type of service we will continue to receive. These are way too expensive to be decreasing the product. I have 3 left from my last order and they are on the left. The 2 new is on the right. No longer a happy customer. UPDATE- I weight the new and old stocks and the new ones are no longer 1oz. The old ones were but they have definitely taken lengthy and weight off of the sticks. Pics below. Well these taste pretty good, especially the Smoky-Sweet flavor. And if they really are grass-fed, all the better.However, one of these beefsticks is not like the other.When you buy the variety pack (18 count), they pull a fast one and short you (literally) some meat. Included are pictures of the original flavor, which make up 1/3 of the variety pack, and are shorter and claim to be the same amount at 1 oz.You're probably thinking "well, they're probably just thicker then, right?" Negative. They're the same width. Which means they're either lying about the sizes of 2/3 their products, or 1/3 of their products.High marks for taste, low marks for dishonesty.Edit: Seller has explained anomaly. I recently had some when my brother and I went camping and he brought them. The flavor is still great, and they're still doing a good job with quality control and increasing consistency. I'll update if any problems come up again.

These are absolutely delicious! Not crazy salty like a Slim Jim. I really like these for snacking and have ordered several times already. I also tried the Smokey Sweet flavor also, but was not impressed. It just didn't taste as good to me as the original one does.

I loved these beef sticks. I ordered these every month like clock work. However my last order will be my last. They were great. However, EVERY time I order them, they're smaller and smaller. Yet we are still paying the same amount. Pick a size and be consistent, until then I am buying Chomp Sticks.

These are delicious and healthy. But I've ordered 3 times, and each time the sticks are significantly shorter. They're now just over half the length of my first order.

I really loved these when I first tried them, but the more I order, the more disappointed I become. Not only has the price risen drastically, but the quality has become very unreliable. Some batches are too soft and mushy, other batches look rather old and shriveled. When I first started ordering them, all of them were good quality, but maybe because of demand on a small farm, the quality is no longer reliable so I will be trying other grass fed beef sticks and hoping I find some that are more consistently good quality.

I bought these to take on a family trip so that I wouldn't get stuck having to eat crappy food that's not compatible with my Paleo eating style. I was expecting a lot because they're grass-fed, etc, but they reminded me of the old beef jerky sticks I'd sometimes eat as an uneducated teen. They're good for when you're desperate or want to avoid the processed junk that everyone around you is eating. They pack well (I kept them in my purse) and were ok for a protein fix. I wouldn't buy them if you're looking for a "tasty snack," but rather for situations where you might not have healthy food available and want something natural to keep you going. I take them on flights and long car trips.

**I have written the company and will update this review when/if they respond.**I hate having to write this review, as the product itself is great and as a family we love having grass fed options available to us. However, we have been purchasing these jerky sticks for awhile now, and recently noticed a change in size of the jerky sticks. Wondering if the product was still the same weight (since the width could have grown some) we weighed our most recent order and the sticks were .8oz each instead of the 1oz stated on the package. Per the FDA, "Only the quantity of food in the container or package is stated in the net quantity statement. Do not include the weight of the container, or wrappers and packing materials. To determine the net weight, subtract the average weight of the empty container, lid and any wrappers and packing materials from the average weight of the container when filled with food." We are incredibly disappointed that we are paying a premium price for a product that we assumed we were getting 1oz of, just to learn we have actually been paying for .8oz. We had chosen this product over a similar company due to price per oz, but we may be switching back due to the false advertising of Grass Run Farms. Quite unfortunate, as we really enjoyed this product.
